Especially when you have Ranged Combat Skills that allow you to increase the radius and damage.
Another great thing about Molotov Cocktails is that they also serve as the best barter items for merchants like Molly and Alf.
This means, a few Molotov Cocktail can get you everything they offer in return.

Where to find Molotov Cocktail Recipe in Atomfall
You can find the Molotov Cocktail Recipe inside the main building found at the Outlaw Camp POI.
The exact location of the recipe is 31.7E, 74.9N.
Before you head to the Outlaw Camp, make sure you are prepared for battle.
The entire area is full of outlaws with melee and ranged weapons.
If you don’t have enough weapons or ammo, I recommend checking out my guide on Atomfall early weapon locations to become overpowered.
Once you are prepared, head to the Outlaw Camp.
The building I have marked in the above screenshot is where you find the Molotov Cocktail Recipe.
Make your way inside the building.
On the board found on the right side wall, you will find the Molotov Cocktail Recipe.
Learn it or take it and learn it later to unlock the crafting option for Molotov Cocktails.
Make sure to loot the entire area, as it is full of crafting materials required for making Molotov Cocktails and other things.
There’s also a lead text in the same room.
If you don’t have enough storage left, store some of your items in the Pneumatic Dispatch Tube that you can find in the same room.
How to craft a Molotov Cocktail in Atomfall
To craft a Molotov Cocktail, head to the Crafting section and select the Molotov Cocktail from the recipe list.
To make one, you need:
- Cloth x3
- Alchohol x6
- Glass x4
Assuming you have the materials, you can craft as many as you want by pressing and holding the ‘C’ key on your keyboard or the respective button on your controller.
Make sure to store additional ones in the Pneumatic Dispatch Tube or trade them with Molly for Atomic Battery and other key items or with Alf.
Both like Molotov Cocktail for barter.
