If you are looking to pave some roads or want to craft some high-end exoskeletons and other equipment, you must know how to get and farm Ceramics in Death Stranding 2.
For players who don’t know, Ceramics is one of the key materials in Death Stranding 2 that players mainly need for constructing roads around the game’s open world via the Auto-Paver terminals.
As well as for crafting equipment like Battle Skeletons and others.
While crafting equipment doesn’t take that much Ceramics, paving roads does.
In fact, you need thousands of Ceramics to pave the roads along with other materials like Metals, Chiral Crystals, etc.
That is why players should know the different methods to get Ceramics in Death Stranding 2 and the best way to farm them.
How to get Ceramics in Death Stranding 2

You can get Ceramics by mining them at Smoke Hill Mine using Chiral Crystals, recycling Battle Skeletons, as random drops from enemies, and other Porters.

You can also get Ceramics out in the open world as offload loot that you can collect and store or use as you like.

Other than that, the MULE Postboxes that you find at camps, settlements, and various locations around the open world also hold materials like Ceramics.
Death Stranding 2 Ceramics locations

One of the best early spots in the Australia map where you can find Ceramics is the settlement located northwest of the Western Environmental Observatory.
The settlement holds two Ceramic spawns, allowing players to collect 640 Ceramics in one run.
And since they respawn at the same spot, you can farm them as much as you want.
Ceramic spawn location 1

Head to the above marked spot and take out the enemies.

Look on the ground, near the forklift, you will find 320 Ceramics.
Ceramic spawn location 2

The second Ceramic spawn is in the northern part of the settlement at the above-marked location.

Head there and you will find a small storage room.

On the storage rack, you will find 320 Ceramics.
Death Stranding 2 Ceramics Mine location

The Ceramic Mine, aka Smoke Hill Mine, is located north of The Government’s Base, the first settlement that you unlock upon arriving in Australia.
To unlock the Smoke Hill Mine, you must complete a side mission.
If you haven’t completed it, check out my walkthrough of Death Stranding 2 Restore Smoke Hill Mine.

Head to the Smoke Hill Mine and interact with the Mining Terminal.
Note
Sometimes, other players leave their Ceramic drops left of the Terminal that you can collect and use.

In the Mining Terminal menu, select the ‘Mine’ option.

After that, you can use Chiral Crystals to mine Ceramics.
Best way to farm Ceramics in Death Stranding 2

So far, there are two methods that I find best for farming Ceramics. The first is revisiting the settlements that spawn Ceramics, as they keep spawning at the same spot.
Later in the game, you can keep track of all the settlements that spawn Ceramics (I will also be sharing their locations soon!)
You can create a farming route and farm them accordingly.
Other than that, the quick and easy way to farm Ceramics is by using the Smoke Hill Mine to mine Ceramics in exchange for Chiral Crystals.
