Whether you are facing latency issues or are facing performance issues like game lag, fps drops, stutters, crashes, black screen, and such, I’ve got you covered with this Mecha BREAK troubleshooting guide.
As you may already know, Mecha BREAK is an always online game, a live service title that is plagued with some very common issues like inconsistent latency, aka ping, crashes, lag, stutter, etc.
While performance issues are limited to only a few players, there are many who, despite having a good internet connection, face ping issues.
Seeing that, based on my experience with the game’s open beta and with other games facing similar issues, I prepared this handy troubleshooting guide that will come in handy.
How to fix the high ping issue in Mecha BREAK

Mecha BREAK’s high ping issue has existed since the game’s open beta, where you are having a decent ping, and suddenly, it’s 999.
Even if you are not playing the 3v3, 6v6, or the PvPvE game mode and are only trying the challenges, etc, you get a sudden ping spike.
Sadly, this issue is probably because of the game’s servers and their locations.
One of the few fixes that worked for me was restarting the game.

But that didn’t mean I got rid of the issue.
A friend of mine tried reinstalling the game, and his game was running fine for some time, but he faced the same issue.
I recommend using an Ethernet cable connection, closing applications that consume your internet bandwidth, and, if possible, using a VPN.
By doing so, you will almost fix the high latency issue in Mecha BREAK.
How to fix lag, stutter, and crash issues in Mecha BREAK

Here are some of the general troubleshooting steps that you can use to fix crashes, lag, and stutter issues in the game:
Updating GPU

Whenever we get a new major release, there’s always a graphics driver update that you can download and install.
The general rule of thumb is that you should keep your graphics drivers up to date.
As you can see in the above screenshot, I use an Nvidia 3070, an old GPU, I know, but still, it got the Mecha BREAK and other games Game Ready Driver update.
These drivers are made to ensure your card is optimized for the game, resources are better utilized, and there are no compatibility issues.
Closing unnecessary applications or using game boosters

If you have a memory-heavy application running in the background, closing it results in a slight increase in FPS.
For example: Google Chrome.

I usually manually close stuff, but for players who don’t want that much hassle, a game booster like the Razer Cortex will just do a fine job.
Installing Mecha BREAK on an SSD

If you check the Mecha BREAK’s minimum and recommended system requirements, it says, “For best experience, install the game on an SSD.”
Well! I can’t stress how much it helps when you install the game on an SSD instead of an HDD.
From the load time to fixing black screen issues, cutscene glitches, audio issues, and other such things, simply installing the game on an SSD will fix many issues.
Using appropriate graphics settings

Using the graphics settings as per your system hardware is going to fix most of the lag and stutter issues that you face while playing the game.
So, lower some of those fancy visual settings and choose an optimal resolution as per your GPU.
That concludes my guide on how to fix lag, ping, crashes, and stutter issues in Mecha BREAK. If the article helped, please consider buying me a Coffee to help me create more content. You can also share the guide with your friends or leave a comment.
