If you are looking to become overpowered with the right weapons and equipment right after leaving your bunker in Atomfall, my best early weapon locations guide will come in handy.
Atomfall plays a lot similar to games like Elden Ring, as right after you get out of your bunker, you are free to go anywhere you want.
You don’t have any clear objective and are supposed to track leads to know what is happening and how you can get out.
Thanks to that approach, you can get some really good weapons early in the game to become overpowered.
So, keep reading my guide as I share the Atomfall early weapon locations and routes while talking about each location in detail.
How to become overpowered in Atomfall

To become overpowered early in Atomfall, you need a long-range weapon, a good melee weapon, a stealth weapon like a Bow, throwables like Grenades and Molotovs, and close and mid-range weapons.
You can do all of this right after you leave your bunker at the very beginning of the game.
To make things further easier for new players, I have marked the best possible route to ensure you can get everything with minimal engagement with enemies.
And in case you do, you are better prepared.
Best early weapon locations in Atomfall

Following the above route, we are going to collect the following weapons and equipment in the game:
- The Leamington 12 Gauge Shotgun
- Grenade
- Police Truncheaon
- Metal Detector
- Terrier .22 Rifle
- MK. VI Revolver and Sticky Bomb Recipe
- BARD Crate, Melee Skill Book, and more
- Molly
- Bow
If you follow the guide, you can collect all the items in less than 30 minutes, and after that, you can resume playing the game as you want.
The purpose of this guide is to make sure you have enough firepower to clear out enemies a lot easier than simply focusing on stealth and so on.
That being out of the way, here’s how you can collect all the items.
Leamington 12 Gauge Shotgun

Head to the above marked location, and you will find a dilapidated building.
You can climb the broken walls to get inside it.

Once you are in, make your way toward the room on the right side.
There, you will find a dead body with a Leamington Shotgun.

On the wooden table, you will find some Shotgun Ammo.
There are crafting materials and other resources in the room that you should collect along with everything on the dead body.
Grenade

As you come outside of the room and interact with the nearby NPC, you will find a waterfall next to him.

Behind the waterfall, there is a hidden cave.

Inside it, you will find a campsite with a dead body with a Grenade and other crafting items.
Police Truncheaon

For the Police Truncheaon, from the bunker exit, take right.

Keep following the path until you reach the broken bridge.

Right past it, you will find an outlaw peeing near the crashed helicopter.

Sneak behind him and take him down.
Do not waster ammo on him.

Once you kill him, he will drop the Police Truncheaon.

After collecting the weapon, turn around and go inside the crashed helicopter.

Inside, you will find the dead body of Private Dagonet.
Collect all the items on him as you need the Agravaine’s Lockbox Key to obtain the MK VI Revolve and Sticky Bomb recipe.
And you need Coded Message to start the Infiltrators side quest.

Now, follow the path on the right side to enter the Slate Mine Caves.
Talk to the NPC inside the cave to get another lead, which is the Hearing Voices side quest.
After that, exit through the Slatten Dale door on the other side of the mine.
Metal Detector

As you exit the mine, you will find a pond with a dead body near the shore.

There, you will find a Metal Detector and a few other items.
Terrier .22 Rifle

From there, make your way to the player icon location, as you see in the above screenshot, to arrive at the Water Wheels POI.

In the building I have marked in the above screenshot, you will find the Terrier .22 Rifle.
On the right side of the building, there are few outlaws and beyond that, there a bunch of them as their main camp is nearby.

But no need to worry, head inside the building from the right side through the broken wall as all the doors are barred.

Make sure to avoid the tripwire trap.

Inside the building, you will find a Terrier .22 Rifle, along with a bunch of other loot.

Make sure to collect everything.
MK. VI Revolver and Sticky Bomb Recipe

From the Water Wheels POI, you must head toward the Railyard close to it to get the MK. VI Revolver and Sticky Bomb Recipe.
I have a fully detailed guide on it sharing Agravaine’s Lockbox Key and Lockbox location. [Check it out for more details.]
BARD Crate, Melee Combat Manual, and more

After you have obtained the revolver, head to the above marked location to find entrance to Outlaw’s Cave.

Head inside the cave and clear all the enemies.
- There’s a tripwire trap right near the entrance once you get inside.
- There are around six enemies, two with firearms and the rest with melee weapons.
- You can sneak or use the obtained weapons to take them out.
On the other side of the cave, inside a room with another tripwire trap at the door, you will find a BARD Crate with a ton of loot.

On the table in the same room, next to a lamp, you will find the Melee Combat Manual.
The entire cave is full of ammo and other resources.
Loot thoroughly.
Bow

You can find the bow as a drop loot from the Druids, who are common enemies in the Casterfell Woods region.
To reach there easily, head to location 7.1 to find the Sewer Entrance that you can take to reach the Casterfell Woods region early.
You can also head to location 7 I’ve marked on the farming route map to find Molly who sells key to the Concrete Bunker that leads to the sewers.

After you enter Casterfell Woods using the sewer, stick to the left side and take out the nearby mobs.

A few of them carry Bows that you can collect.

There you go. Now, you have everything to survive in the quarantine zone.
