If you are trying to progress and complete the Liberty Falls main quest, you must know how to make the LTG Device and where to use it in Black Ops 6 Zombies. This is what my guide is all about.
For players who don’t know, one of the steps in Liberty Falls’s main quest involves building the LTG Device and using it near Aether Storms to summon an HVT.
But before you get to the objective of building the LTG Device, you must know how to build the Jet Gun, as you need it to collect the components required for it.
The whole process takes a lot of time, and if you don’t know what to do or where to find all LTG Device components, progress to the main quest is nearly impossible.
With that said, here’s my guide on how to make and use the LTG Device in Black Ops 6 and where to use it.

How to make the LTG Device in Black Ops 6–Workbench location
You can make the LTG Device using three components at the Workbench found on the roof of the Liberty Falls Savings and Loan bank building.
To reach the Workbench where you can craft the LTG Device, from the spawn location, follow the path marked in the above map screenshot.
Use Essence to unlock the zipline leading to the bank’s roof with the Workbench.
On the far right corner of the roof, you will find the Workbench, where you can craft the LTG Device.
I have encircled its location in the map screenshot I shared. Check it if you are confused.
All LTG Device Components locations in Black Ops 6
As I mentioned earlier, you need three LTG Device components to craft the device.
Note
This section can only be completed using the Jet Gun.
To make things easier, I have shared the detailed location of each of them below:
LTG Device component 1 location
The first LTG Component is found inside the room on the first floor of the Buzz’s Cuts building.
Head to the above-marked location, and you will find the Buzz’s Cuts building holding the LTG Device component.
Climb on the nearby roof as shown in the above screenshot and jump on the van with the dead zombie on the roof.
Now, face towards the open window on Buzz’s Cuts building and use the Jet Gun to suck the component.
LTG Device component 2 location
The second LTG Device component is found inside the Olly’s Comics building.
Head to the marked location in the above map screenshot to reach the LTG Device component location.
Once you arrive inside Olly’s Comics, look at the broken false ceiling, and you will see the second component.
Again, use the Jet Gun to suck the component!
LTG Device component 3 location
The third LTG Device component is found floating to the left of Dr. Panos inside the church.
Where to use the LTG Device in Black Ops 6
You can use the LTG Device to open portals at Rift Storms to summon HVT, whose soul you can trap in the Aether Canister.
At the base of Rift Storms, while having the LTG Device, you can press the interact button to place it and start the portal opening process.
You must protect the device until the portal is opened!
After that, you must damage the HVT until its HP is very low.
Then, you must lead the HVT to an Aether Trap and activate it.
Note
Before leading the HVT to the Aether Trap, make sure to place the Aether Canister near the trap to capture the HVT’s soul. You can find the Aether Canister at the Church once you have crafted the LTG Device.
Ensure the HVT is within the trap and the Aether Canister is nearby. Now, defeat the HVT, and you will manage to trap its soul and progress in the quest.
Now that being out of the way, here are all Rift Storm and Aether Traps locations.
Rift Storm location 1
The first Rift Storm is found near the spawn location at Liberty Falls and is hard to miss.
Still, for the sake of the guide, I have shared it’s precise location in the above map screenshot.
The dark cloud that you see in the above screenshot is the Rift Storm.
Aether Trap location 1
The first Aether Trap is right at the spawn location as you can see in the above map screenshot.
You can activate it using 1000 Essence from either front or end side of the Dark Aether Field Generator.
Rift Storm location 2
The second Rift Storm is found in the graveyard next to the church building. I have marked its location in the above screenshot.
The Rift Storm is in the middle area of the graveyard as you can see in the above screenshot.
Aether Trap location 2
The second Aether Trap is located on the road leading to the church. I have marked its location in the screenshot above.
You can find the second Dark Aether Field Generator on the left side of the road, and just like the first one, you can activate it using 1000 Essence.
Note
While you can use the Aether Traps again and again, there’s a long cooldown before you can use it again. That is why I recommend lowering the HVT HP before leading it to the trap.
