For players who don’t know, there’s a hidden safe in the Reckoning map that holds the famous Aether Blade that we first saw in MW3 Zombies.
However, to open the safe, players need the Safe Key, and they must find and place three paintings at their designated spots.
However, obtaining the Safe Key in the Reckoning map is not as easy as it was on maps like Terminus Island and Liberty Falls.
Moreover, even if you find the Safe Key, the Safe itself is well hidden and only appears when you use a particular Field Upgrade near it.
So keep reading as I explain how you can find and use the Safe Key in Black Ops 6 Zombies Reckoning map to get the Aether Blade.
How to get the Safe Key in the Reckoning map in Black Ops 6 Zombies
You can obtain the Reckoning map Safe Key from an Aether Crystal that spawns in the T2 Dark Entity Containment area.
To spawn the Aether Crystal, head to the T2 Dark Entity Containment and make sure you have an ARC-XD, the RC Car.
If you don’t have one, collect 1000 Salvage and craft it at any Crafting Table.
After you get the ARC-XD, follow the stairs in the T2 Dark Entity Containment area as shown in the above screenshot.
Right at the end of the stairs, on the left side, you will find a small opening in the cage wall.
I have marked it’s exact location in the above screenshot.
Use the ARC-XD, go through the small opening, and past the wires.
Now, turn right and you will find an Aether Crystal at the end of the path.
Take the ARC-XD there and blow it up.
If done correctly, you will be able to see a Kazimir gerenade like effect.
Now head upstairs and let the black hole-like orb reach the top.
After a few seconds, at the back of the Dark Entity Containment box, many Aether Crystals will spawn.
One of them has the Safe Key.
Where to use the Safe Key in the Reckoning map in Black Ops 6 Zombies
The Safe is located behind the painting in the T1 Director’s Office that you see in the above screenshot.
To remove the painting, you must activate the newly added Mr. Peeks Field Upgrade near it.
Once done, the painting will fall down, and you will be able to open the Safe using the obtained Safe Key.
However, as soon as you do that, there’s a lockdown with a ton of enemies and an Elite Disciple.
Take them out and collect the Aether Blade and intel from the Safe.
