For players who don’t know, there is a secret Fog Rolling In easter egg in the Shattered Veil map that players can trigger using a Vermin Statue.
It is a reference to the “Fog Rolling In” quote from Jason Blundell, one of the devs, that later became a meme in the Call of Duty Zombies community.
While the reward for completing the easter egg is not that good, it is fun to see the reference to the meme.
Especially, the reaction of characters like Raptor One, Strauss, and others to the Fog Rolling In the game after you trigger the easter egg.

How to trigger the Fog Rolling In easter egg in Shattered Veil map in Black Ops 6 Zombies
To trigger the Fog Rolling In easter egg in the Shattered Veil map, you must find a Vermin Statue, pour in some specific chemical agents on it, cook it in a micro oven, release it in the ventilation system, and finally shoot down the exhaust chimneys.
Sounds confusing, right?
Don’t worry! Here is the complete breakdown of the all the steps in order:
- Collect the Vermin Statue from the Supply Depot area.
- Place it in the lab tray found in the Mainframe Chamber.
- Check to chart behind the zombie spawn in the Mainframe Chamber to get the order in which you have to pour in the chemical agents.
- Shoot the bottles near the lab tray in the correct order.
- Take the Vermin Statue and place it under any Micro Oven and wait until red smoke comes out of it.
- Once done, collect the cooked Vermin Statue.
- Head back to the Mainframe Chamber and place the Vermin Statue in the pool of blood on the ground near the Pack-A-Punch machine.
- Shoot the exhaust fans with the Wunderwaffe DG-2.
- Craft or collect Chopper Gunner
- Use the Chopper Gunner to destroy all the Chimneys
Once you do the above steps in the correct order, the Shattered Veil map will be filled with fog.
Moreover, the Aether Crystals will spawn all around the map.
You can break them to get Salvage and other loot.
On that note, you must be quick, as the fog subsides after some time.
Where to find the Vermin Statue in the Shattered Veil map
You can find the Vermin Statue near the vents at the above marked location in the Supply Depot room.
Head there and look near the backup generator-like machine.
You will find one of the metal vents open.
Crawl and go near, and you will be able to spot the Vermin Statue.
Press the interact button to collect it.
Where to place the Vermin Statue in Mainframe Chamber
You can place the Vermin Staute inside the lab tray found at the above marked location in the Mainframe Chamber area.

Once you arrive at the marked location, near the Crafting Table, you will find the lab tray.
Go near and press the interact button to place the Vermin Statue.
How to solve the chemical bottle puzzle in Mainframe Chamber
To solve the chemical bottle puzzle after placing the Vermin Statue in the lab tray, you must shoot down three chemical bottles in a given order.
To find the correct order, head to the above marked location and you will find a zombie spawn.
It is located near the stairs leading to the Security Overlook room with the Pack-A-Punch machine.
So it is hard to miss.
Once you are there, zoom in and look at the encircled symbols.
The bottles represent the ones you have to shoot, and the drops of liquid represent the order in which you have to shoot them.
For example, if a bottle has three drops of liquid coming out of it, it means you have to shoot it last.
If a bottle has two drops, you have to shoot it second.
And the bottle with one drop must be shot first.
Now! Where are these bottles?
They are located around the lab tray where you put the Vermin Statue.
Now, I am color blind, and I can’t tell which color which bottle is.
Moreover, the bottles look the same and are hard to differentiate.
So, the easiest way I found to solve the puzzle is to look at the thickness of the bottles.
And, then check which one has how many drops of liquid coming out of it.
Based on that, shoot the bottles in the correct order, and you will be good to go.
Note
If you shoot the bottles in the wrong order, the Vermin Statue will dissolve, and you must start a new match.
Shattered Veil map micro oven locations
There are quite a few ovens that you can find in the Shattered Veil map.
Oven 1
One is located in the Overlook area of the Grand Foyer room, where the Z-Rex fossil is located.
Head to the above marked location, and you will find it.
You can go near the oven and press the interact button to place the Vermin Statue.
Oven 2
The second oven is located in the West Hallways at the above marked location.
It is right past the door that you can access via the Overlook area.
Where to place the cooked Vermin Statue
Once the Vermin is well cooked, collect it and make your way back to the Mainframe Chamber area, at the above marked location.
Once you arrive there, on both sides of the stairs leading to the Pack-A-Punch machine, you will find pool of blood.
Go near the pool of blood and place the Vermin Statue.
Once done, shoot the ventilation fan near the pool of blood using the Wunderwaffe DG-2 to power it up.
How to destroy the chimneys at Colton Halls in Shattered Veil
As I mentioned earlier, to destroy the Colton Hall chimneys to complete the final step of the easter egg, you need a Chopper Gunner.
You can find it as a drop from elite enemies.
Or, you can head to any Crafting Table.
And craft one for 2,500 Scraps.
Once you have the Chopper Gunner, use it.
Destroy all the chimneys, and you will be able to trigger the Fog Rolling In easter egg.
