Tannis on a Fish easter egg, which we have seen in previous Borderlands games in different shapes and forms, is back in Borderlands 4. This time around, it is tied to an achievement/trophy called Cut That Out.
To complete this easter egg, you must head to a specific area in the Fadefields region and shoot the five barrels in the correct order.
In this guide, I have shared the exact location of Borderlands 4’s Tannis on a Fish easter egg and also the right order in which you must shoot the nearby barrels to trigger it.
Borderlands 4 Tannis on a Fish easter egg location
The Tannis on a Fish easter egg is located in The Howl area of the Fadefields region.
I have marked its exact location in the above screenshot.
Make your way to the encircled area. Once you arrive at the small hut-like structure that you see in the above screenshot, that is where you trigger the easter egg.
How to trigger Tannis on a Fish easter egg in Borderlands 4
To trigger the Tannis on a Fish easter egg in Borderlands 4, you must shoot the nearby barrels in the correct order, which is: Corrosion > Cryo > Pyro > Shock > Radiation.
In the above screenshot, I have marked the order in which you must shoot the barrels to trigger the easter egg.
Now, while some creators and players have said that you must be using a strong weapon to make the barrels explode in one hit, that is not required.
It doesn’t matter what you use. You just have to destroy the barrels in the right order. You can do it in one hit, two hits, or more.
That said, here’s a closer look at the barrels:
The Corrosion and Pyro barrels are on the left side of the hut.
The Cryo and Shock barrels are on the right side of the hut.
The Radiation barrel is right in front of the hut.
After you destroy the last barrel, Handsome Jack’s cutout will emerge from the water, a song will start playing, and you will see Tannis on a Fish.
Note
If you are a creator, make sure you mute the song that plays during the easter egg, as it causes copyright issues.
Once the play ends, you unlock the Cut That Out achievement/trophy.
