Borderlands 4 Vault of Inceptus Fadefields Vault Keys and Vault location and Primordial Guardian Inceptus boss loot drop table

In this guide, I have shared the location of the three Vault Key Fragments that you need for unlocking the Fadefields Vault, aka Vault of Inceptus, in Borderlands 4 to farm Legendary weapons, class mods, etc, while getting a permanent upgrade to your glider.

In case you didn’t know, Borderlands 4 features three Vaults, one in each major region, including Fadefields, Terminus Range, and Carcadia Burn.

Each vault, officially called, Primordial Vault, offers a unique boss at the end of the activity, whom you can defeat to get loot, including Legendaries.

The Vault of Inceptus is one of the best early Vaults in the game that you can farm, especially for a Legendary Class Mod for your respective Vault Hunter.

With that being out of the way, here’s where you can find the Vault of Inceptus and its Vault Key Fragments.

All three Fadefields Vault Key Fragments location

Here are the locations of the Vault of Inceptus Vault Key Fragments:

Vault Key Fragment 1

The first Vault Key Fragment for the Vault of Inceptus is found at the Stillshore POI marked in the above screenshot.

Head there and follow the marked path.

You will find the Vault Key Fragment on the wooden box, as you can see in the above screenshot.

Vault Key Fragment 2

The second Vault Key Fragment for the Vault of Inceptus is found inside a cave east of The Kit Hole Silo in the Fadefields region.

Head to the above marked location, and you will arrive at the cave.

Stick to the boundary and head straight.

You will arrive at the grapple point that you can use to reach the Vault Key Fragment.

The Vault Key Fragment is on a pedestal marked in the above screenshot.

Go near it and press the interact button, and Echo-4 will collect it.

Vault Key Fragment 3

The third and final Vault Key Fragment for the Vault of Inceptus is found inside a hidden area at Rosemary’s Reserve POI in Idolator’s Noose region.

Head to the above marked location.

Look at the ventilation-like structure I have marked in the above screenshot.

You can use your grapple to remove it to access the hidden area.

At the end of the room, you will find the Vault Key Fragment, a Marcus Bobblehead, and a Weapon Chest.

Where to find the Fadefields Vault of Inceptus in Borderlands 4

The Fadefields Vault of Inceptus is located south of The Stubs POI in the Idolator’s Noose sub-region at the above marked location.

While you can head there on your own, for the sake of the guide, here’s the path that I took:

Head to the above marked location.

Once you arrive, cross the river and use the grapple points to reach The Stubs.

Follow the main path while sticking to the right side. At a point, you will see an elevated path leading towards the cliff, take it.

Near the cliff, you will find the broken gate of the Vault of Inceptus.

How to unlock the Vault of Inceptus in Borderlands 4

To unlock the Vault of Inceptus, all you have to do is head close to the broken vault gate and wait until the mechanism in which you can insert the Vault Key Fragments appears.

Once that happens, interact with it and let Echo-4 handle the rest.

Once the Vault of Inceptus door is activated, go near and press the interact button to enter it.

Avatar	Vex	Vex and her Minions deal increased Damage for each active Attunement, and gain Damage Reduction against each Elemental Type she is Attuned to.
Driver	Harlowe	Whenever Harlowe fires CHROMA Accelerator, she drains all but 1 of her Health and Amps CHROMA Accelerator. CHROMA Accelerator gains +20% Lifesteal.
Elementalist	Amon	Whenever an Affinity Skill gains a Stack, all unlocked Affinity Skills also gain a Stack. For each Stack of Affinity from all Affinity Skills, Amon gains increased Movement Speed.
Filantropo	Rafa	Whenever Rafa retriggers his Action Skill, he spawns a free Grenade. If he has a Grenade equipped, he spawns one based on that. This Skill has a 4-second cooldown.
