Perspective is the second main quest in Chapter 4, “False Prophets, Fallen Saints,” in Diablo 4’s paid DLC, Vessel of Hatred.
It takes players to the western part of the Nahantu region, to an abandoned town, where you must find and inspect the Faces of Akarat to eventually locate the tomb of Akarat to imprison Mephisto.
As burdened Neyrelle feels holding Mephisto, so are the players looking for the Faces of Akarat in the small search area.
I am not even joking!
While the quest seems simple, it becomes rather challenging and infuriating for many players as they fail to find these Faces of Akarat.

How to get Perspective quest in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred
As I mentioned earlier, Perspective is a story quest, and to unlock it, all you have to do is progress the Vessel of Hatred DLC’s story until “The Way Out is Through.”
It is the first mission in Chapter 4, “False Prophets, Fallen Saints,” that takes you to Samuk.
You will automatically unlock the Perspective quest once you arrive at Samuk with Neyrelle.
Perspective quest walkthrough
The Perspective main story quest in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred consists of eight objectives. These are:
- Speak with Neyrelle
- Find and Inspect Faces of Akarat with Neyrelle (0/3)
- Find access to the tomb with Neyrelle
- Open the Stone Door
- Slay the Hollows
- Speak with Neyrelle
- Go south of Samuk with Neyrelle
- Speak with Eru

This is a self-explanatory objective. To complete it, talk to Neyrelle, standing beside you in Samuk.
Find and Inspect Faces of Akarat with Neyrelle (0/3)
Finding the Faces of Akarat is one of the most challenging parts of the Perspective quest.
Of the three, one face is found in the northern part of the town, one in the middle, and the last in the docks.
To make things easier, here’s the map location of each Faces of Akarat:

Find access to the tomb with Neyrelle
Head to the waterfall that you encounter while entering Samuk. Past that is the path that leads to the tomb of Akarat.
Open the Stone Door
Slay the Hollows
In this section of the quest, you have to fight Hollow versions of your allies from the base game, like Donan and others.
You will have to fight a ton of Elites back to back. Just keep dodging the projectile that comes from the center of the arena and you will be good to go.

Speak with Eru
