Embers of the Uncrowned release date, platforms, system requirements, and everything we know so far

Embers of the Uncrowned is an isometric dark fantasy MMORPG from South Korean developer and publisher Nexon, revealed back in April of this year.

The game features fast-paced, tactical, and intense combat with brutal, gory visuals; a story centered on humans vs. elves, with the latter serving as the main antagonist faction; settlement; player personalization; and other features that interest many players.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t craving for a good isometric MMORPG, something like the Lost Ark, but before it got lost in the graveyard of MMOs.

Embers of the Uncrowned is one of the titles that not only the MMORPG community, but players in general, are looking forward to. And in the wake of that, I prepared this guide covering everything we know so far about the game.

Embers of the Uncrowned release date and platforms

At the time of writing, Embers of the Uncrowned has no official release date. However, the game’s playable demo went live on Monday, June 15, allowing players to hop in and experience it ahead of its full launch.

Given the state of the demo, the game is playable and may target a Q3 or Q4 2026 release.

That said, when it comes to platforms, the game is currently targeting the PC platform via Steam. With possible PS5 and Xbox versions in the future.

Does Embers of the Uncrowned feature controller support on PC?

Yes! The game does offer full controller support on PC, including Sony’s DualSense controllers.

Does Embers of the Uncrowned have PvP?

Yes. The game does include PvP content, along with a wide range of PvE content, like any other MMORPG.

The game features an Arena where players can battle others. I will add more details on PvP as we learn about it.

Is Embers of the Uncrowned pay-to-win?

With the game’s demo that launched on June 15, Nexon clarified that the game will not feature any progression-based microtransactions.

At official launch, Embers of the Uncrowned will not sell any paid offers that affect character progression. All gear, progression elements and consumables will be obtainable through gameplay.
