The AR416 is one of the best, if not the best, assault rifles in Stalker 2, especially in early game that you should not sleep on. While resources are scarce in the game, you find multiple weapons as you search through the different stashes, complete quests, visit vendors, trade with NPCs, etc.

In Stalker 2, you can find the AR416 assault rifle on a workbench on the first floor of a building inside the Checkpoint POI in the Lesser Zone.
I have marked the weapon’s location in the above map screenshot with the path that you must follow to avoid any heat.
The Checkpoint is a fortress-like area with a ton of guards that will shoot you on sight.
Moreover, the entire front part of the area is filled with anomalies, making it tricky to navigate while on the run.
So, head to the player icon location, as shown in the map screenshot.
From there, make your way to the front gate of the facility by sticking to the wall.
By doing so, you will be able to avoid the perimeter guards and the anomalies.
As the screenshot above shows, the only issue you might face is the guard on the tower.
Still, he is very easy to get past if you just keep moving while hugging the wall.
Once you are near the main gate, run towards the marked building.
Make sure to follow the path I have marked above.
Take the gate on the right side of the building and collect all the food items and consumables on the ground floor.
Next, take the stairs that you see in the above screenshot to reach the workbench with the AR416 assault rifle.
Collect it and all the bullets on the table.
Now, it is time to escape. Take the stairs leading to the roof.
If you are unlucky, you might find a guard on the roof. But don’t engage.
Instead, drop down safely.
Use the watchtower at the end of the boundary wall, as you see in the above screenshot, to escape through the window.
If the window is not already broken, break it using your knife or melee attack.
It’s time to keep running once you are beyond the boundary, as the guards will chase you.
They will keep chasing you until you lose them.
Even if you kill the first few guards, another set of guards will be on your trail.
So, I suggest making your way to Zelissiya instead of wasting your bullets engaging with the guards.
