Throne and Liberty is one of the most anticipated Korean MMOs from developer NCSoft, which is finally getting a global release, thanks to Amazon Games.
While the game offers free-to-play and paid versions, many players cannot download it or even check its listing on Steam.

Why do you get the message “This item is currently unavailable in your region” on the Throne and Liberty Steam Page?
When you try to access the Throne and Liberty via Steam, you get the message “This item is currently unavailable in your region” because Amazon Games is publishing the game only in North and South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
If your country/region is not the one mentioned above, you will get the message below when you try to access the game via Steam.
Remember that when you search for Throne and Liberty via the Steam Search through the app, you will get the option to buy the Throne and Liberty Early Access Packs.
However, when you click on it, you will once again get the same message. Similarly, if you try to add it directly to your Cart, you will get the message, “There was a problem updating your Cart.”
So, now that you know that Throne and Liberty is region-locked. The question is how to play it?
How to play Throne and Liberty in any region
You can access Throne and Libery in region-locked countries through PlayStation and Xbox consoles, by changing your Steam Account region, or by creating a brand new account with the supported region to play the game.
Thanks to Sony, who doesn’t like publishers to region-lock games, especially digital releases, you can play Throne and Liberty in the region-locked countries through PlayStation 5. The same is true for Xbox.
On the other hand, if you don’t own a PlayStation and want to play the game via Steam, you will sadly have to create a new account or change your Steam Account region to access and play the game.
Just using a VPN won’t do!
How to change your Steam Account country/region to play Throne and Liberty
You can change your Steam Account country via the ‘Update store country’ option available in ‘Account Details.’
Normally, when you are in a different country than the one mentioned in your Steam account, you will get the option to switch to that country in the ‘View Cart’ menu while purchasing anything.
You can do this every three months. But since no one is going to change their country to play an MMO, I recommend using the first option, which will recommend you contact Steam Support, where you can request and change your country.
