Sparrow is the newest Legends who made its debut with Apex Legends Season 25, titled ‘Prodigy.’
For players who don’t know, Sparrow is a Recon-type Legend who comes with a Double Jump passive.
Its Tactical Skill called Tracker Dart can be placed on any surface to reveal enemies.
His Ultimate Skill, Stinger Bolt, is an ability that you can use to slow down enemies and deal damage at a given interval in an AoE.
Overall, if you ask me, Sparrow is a mix of Assault and Recon Legend that is definitely worth trying and main’ing.
And while unlocking legends in the past was easy, due to the new UI and several changes, many new and returning players might struggle with unlocking Sparrow.
In the wake of that, I prepared this handy guide sharing all the methods for unlocking Sparrow in the game.
How to unlock Sparrow in Apex Legends
As I mentioned earlier, there are three methods to unlock Sparrow permanently in Apex Legends. These are:
- Unlocking Sparrow using Legend Tokens
- Unlocking Sparrow using Apex Coins
- Unlocking Sparrow by completing the Prodigy launch challenges
The first two options are the quickest way to unlock and use Sparrow as completing the Prodigy challenges might take some time depending on your skill.
That said, keep reading as I have explained all three methods below.
Unlocking Sparrow using Legend Tokens or Apex Coins
To unlock Sparrow using Legend Tokens or Apex Coins in Apex Legends, head to the Legend Locker menu from the main lobby.
Once there, select Sparrow and press the ‘Gift’ button, which is the ‘H’ button on PC.
Doing so will open the side menu where you can find the purchase and gift buttons to unlock Sparrow for yourself or for your friends.
Legends Tokens are best when it comes to unlocking new Legends, such as Sparrow.
So I recommend using it as Apex Coins are premium currency and unlocking Sparrow using it is not worth it.
Unlocking Sparrow by completing Prodigy launch challenges
To unlock Sparrow via the Prodigy launch challenge, head to the ‘Challenges’ tab from the main lobby.
Once there, select the ‘Prodigy Launch Challenges – Part 1’ card.
There you will find two categories of challenges:
- Weapon Challenges
- Legend Challenges
Complete all the challenges within these two categories to unlock Sparrow for free.
Apex Legends Prodigy Launch Challenges
Weapon challenges
- Deal 1,000 damage with the Bocek.
- Deal 1,000 damage with the G7 Scout.
- Deal 1,000 damage with marksmen weapons.
Legend challenges
- Scan 40 enemies with Sparrow’s Tracker Dart.
- Or, Grapple 4,000 Meters with Pathfinder.
- Deal 1,000 damage with Sparrow’s Stinger Bolt
- Or, Have 250 teammates use Pathfinder’s Zipline
- Get 30 kills or assists
- Deal 25,000 Damage with Sparrow or Pathfinder
