Surviving without proper knowledge on what to do and in what order to do things is hard.
Moreover, with the recent Billy in the Basement update adding a new basement level, many players find it hard to escape.

How to start Billy in the Basement level?
In Night Shift at Chuck E. Cheese’s 2, you can access the stage with the new Billy in the Basement level by clicking on the Play Game button.
Once you do that, create a group and start the stage.

Night Shift at Chuck E. Cheese’s 2 Billy in the Basement adds a few extra steps to the already existing stage that players must complete to escape.
Here’s a full walkthrough of what you must do in order to escape:
- Head to the Security Room
- Answer the Phone Call
- Head to the Kitchen area and pick up the Backstage Key
- Go to the Backstage Room and collect the Closet Room Key
- Head to the Closet Room and collect the VHS Tape
- Head back to the Security Room and play the VHS Tape
- Note down the Keypad Code to the locked door leading to the Basement
- Head to the Basement
- Answer the phone call 2
- Collect the second VHS Tape from within the Birthday Cakes
- Head back to the Security Room and play the second VHS Tape
- Note down the Basement Door Keypad Passcode
- Unlock and head inside the locked room in the Basement
- Collect the Parts & Service Room Key
- Head to the Parts and Service Room and collect the Manager’s Office Key
- Head to the Manager’s Office
- Open the shutter
- Collect the Emergency Exit Key
- Take the Emergency Exit
Now that you know all the steps, here’s a detailed walkthrough of how you can complete them and escape.
Head to the Security Room
As soon as the stage starts, press the F key to light up the Torch and head into the Chuck E. Cheese’s building.
When you enter the building, take right and keep moving.
Follow the above path as marked in the above screenshot.
The Security Room is at the end of the right hallway.
Head inside the Security Room.
Answer the phone call
When you enter the security room, turn right and interact with the Telephone to answer the call.
Head to the Kitchen area and collect the Backstage Key
Now, take the same path from where you came.
Head to the main arcade area.
On the far end of the room, you will find the entrance to the Kitchen area as I have marked in the above screenshot.
Head there and go through the entrance on the right.
On the table, you will find the Backstage Key.
Go to the Backstage Room and collect the Closet Key
Now, head back to the Security Room Hallway and use the key to open the first door.
Collect the Closet Room Key from the table.
Head to the Closet Room to collect the VHS Tape
Now, exit the Closet Room and head back to the main arcade area.
This time, follow the hallway on the right side of the room as I have marked in the above screenshot.
Use the Closet Room Key to unlock the locked door at the end of the hallway.
Collect the VHS Tape from the shelf.
Head back to the Security Room and play the VHS Tape
Head back to the Security Room.
By this time, a few of the freaks will start roaming the building.
Run past them or simply use the tables to confuse and glitch them.
Insert the VHS Tape to start playing the recorded video.
Let the video play out to get the locked room code.
Note down the keypad passcode for the locked door
Remember or note down the code.
Head to the Basement
Exit the Security Room and follow the path marked in the above screenshot.
On your right, you will find the locked door with a Keypad.
Enter the code and click on the check mark to unlock the door.
Follow the path leading to the basement.
Answer the phone call 2
In the basement, answer the second call.
Collect the second VHS Tape from within the Birthday Cakes
Turn around and take the door on the right side.
Start interacting with the cakes to find the second VHS Tape.
Collect the VHS Tape.
Head back to the Security Room and play the second VHS Tape
Head back to the Security Room.
Play the second VHS Tape.
Let the video play out.
Note down the Basement Door Keypad Passcode
Remember or note down the basement door code.
Now, head back to the basement and past the room with the cakes.
There’s a freak waiting for you!
You can glitch him on the wall or use the table in the room where you picked up the second call to confuse and run past him.
Use the passcode to unlock the basement door.
Collect the Parts & Service Room Key
In the room, on the table, you will find the Parts & Service Room Key.
Head to the Parts and Service Room and collect the Manager’s Office Key
Exit the basement and turn right.
The first door you encounter is the Parts & Service Room.
Use the key to unlock the door.
Right as you enter the room, look on your left and you will find the Manager’s Room Key.
Head to the Manager’s Office
Exit the Parts & Service room and follow the path on the right.
The first door you come across, is the Manager’s Office.
Use the key to unlock Manager’s Office and let the cutscene play out.
Open the shutter
Now, go to the far right end of the Manager’s Office and interact with the shutter controls to open the shutter.
There’s a freak waiting for you inside the room.
Make him follow you, confuse and run past him, and make your way back to the room.
Collect the Emergency Exit Key
On the chair, you will find the Emergency Exit Key.
Escape via the Emergency Exit
You will find the Emergency Exit near the Security Room hallway.
Congratulations! You just escaped the horrors.
