After you go through the records, your next objective is to find de Vries’s house in Fairfields.
While you get a search area on the map, the exact location of the house is not provided, which means you must do the digging.

You can find de Vries’s house at the player icon location shown in the above screenshot.
When you search the Town Hall Records, you will find the hint that de Vries’s house has Red Trim Circle Windows.

Once you arrive there, you will find de Vries’s house.
Once you head inside, ‘Use’ the computer and exhaust all the options.

Once you are inside de Vries’s house, the next objective is to search for information left behind her. To do that, use the switch near the toilet like structure to open the secret door.
You will find a couple of items, a machine and a computer. Open the computer and go through all available options.
Doing so will progress the quest and it will trigger a series of conversation between Niles and you.
Choose the options you find appropriate, and that’s it. The quest will progress.
