Whether you are stuck at any point in the latest event, Otherworldly Encounter, or are yet to start, my Once Human Otherworldly Encounter event walkthrough will come in handy!
For players who don’t know, Otherworldly Encounter is a brand new ongoing event in Once Human that started on April 24 and will end on July 14, 2025.
In this event, players meet a traveler from another world, triggering a decently long quest to repair a rift gate so he can go back.
Both the quest and rewards associated with it are great and every player must complete and collect them.
And while veterans might have already completed it, for new or returning players, I prepared this walkthrough guide. So keep reading!
How to start the Otherworldly Encounter event quest in Once Human
To start the Otherworldly Encounter event quest in Once Human, you must head to the Events menu and navigate to the ‘Otherworldly Encounter’ tab.
There, you will find a button that says, “Go to Meet.”
Click on it! The above location in the Broken Delta region will be marked on your map.
Note
If you don’t find Aleksei at the above location, make sure you are at least level 10 and are in the Manibus or Evolution’s Call server.
Head there and you will find an NPC named Aleksei.
Talk to him and select the dialogue option, “Talk to the consciousness entity.”
Exhaust all the dialogues and doing so, will trigger the Otherworldly Encounter quest.
Once Human Otherworldly Encounter walkthrough
The Otherworldly Encounter event quest has multiple steps that players must complete in a given order to complete the quest and claim rewards from the events tab.
These steps are:
- Use Spacetime to search for clues
- Keep pushing forward and follow the trail to its source
- Talk to Aleksei
- Head to Sunbury Middle School and find out how to open the Silver Gate
- Search for relevant archives
- Tattered Report
- Talk to V outside of the house
- Go to Sunbury
- Follow the trail forward
- Pick up the Deviated Heart
- Find a suitable location to use Spacetime
- Find the Black Mist Condenser
- Go to Sunbury Farm
- Use the Spacetime to locate the Perception Folder
- Talk to Aleksei
- Place the Deviated Heart
- Place the Black Mist Condenser
- Place the Perception Folder
I have explained how you can complete every step below.
Use Spacetime to search for clues
In this part of the quest, you must press the ‘Q’ button or the respective key to use the Spacetime feature.
Once you do that, you will see white orbs trail.
Keep pushing forward and follow the trail to its source
Follow the white orb trail from Aleksei’s location.
It will lead you to the broken Silver Dimensional Gate on the nearby bridge.
Talk to Aleksei
Return to Aleksei and talk to him.
Select the dialogue option, “We might know what drew you here.”
After that, select, “Maybe Rosetta is working on something similar?”
Lastly, select “We’ll take it from here, don’t worry.”
Head to Sunbury Middle School and find out how to open the Silver Gate
In this part of the quest, you must follow the quest marker leading to the Sunbury Middle School area.
Search for relevant archives
Once you arrive at Sunbury Middle School, head inside the house found in the northern side.
There, you will find the Tattered Report that explains how you can fix the Silver Gate.
Check it to progress the quest.
Talk to V outside of the house
Head outside the house and stand near the quest marked to spawn V and talk to him.
V and your character will talk about the findings while also hinting what exactly you need to repair the Silver Gate.
Go to Sunbury
Once you are done talking to V, head to Sunbury.
Head to the quest marker location.
The entire Subury area is filled with Vultures.
So make sure you have weapons to deal with them, especially if you are low level.
Head to the quest marker location and you will find another rift on the road.
Follow the trail forward
Use the Spacetime ability by pressing the ‘Q’ button and follow the white orb trail.
Pick up the Deviated Heart
It will lead you inside a building where you will find the Deviated Heart on a storage rack.
Collect it.
Find a suitable location to use Spacetime
Now, head to the quest marker location and use the Spacetime ability once again.
Doing so will spawn a trail that you must follow to collect the next item.
Find the Black Mist Condenser
If you follow the trail correctly, you will find the Black Mist Condenser.
Go to Sunbury Farm
The next part of the quest requires you to head to the Sunbury Farm location.
Use the Spacetime to locate the Perception Folder
Once you arrive there, you will find another rift near the farm’s main entrance.
Use the Spacetime ability and it will lead you to the nearby warehouse.
Inside it, you will find the Perception Folder on top of a wooden box.
Collect it!
Talk to Aleksei
Head back to the bridge where you found the Silver Gate and talk to Aleksei.
Exhaust his dialogues.
Place the Deviated Heart
Head towards the leftmost display stand and place the Deviated Heart.
Place the Black Mist Condenser
Go to the middle display stand and place the Black Mist Condenser.
Place the Perception Folder
Place the Perception Folder item on the rightmost display stand.
Once you place all three items, a cutscene will play out and Aleksei will go through the Silver Gate, back to his dimension.
After the cutscene, you will get the quest completed confirmation.
Once Human Otherworldly Encounter event rewards
There are two batches of rewards that you can get from the Otherworldly Encounter event.
These are:
- Aleksei’s Gift [You can claim anytime between April 24 to July 14]
- Stardust Energy Drink x2
- Canned Lunch Meat x2
- Quick Activator x3
- Gunpowder x5
- Quest rewards [You can claim after completing the Otherworldly Encounter quest between April 24 to July 14]
- Stardust Source x50
- Specialization Cleaner x1
- Future Watcher Eye Patch – Cosmetic
- Whisper x2
