If you are also facing the error message saying, “Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource,” stopping you from running Stalker 2. Don’t worry! You are not alone; thankfully, there’s a fix for it.

Stalker 2 was one of the most hyped-up releases of this year, and while the game is finally available, it is riddled with crashing, stuttering, lag, and other issues.

While as an old Stalker player, none of these issues are something new, and most of us already expected it, there’s no denying the new players hopping into the game rather find it infuriating.

Which is understandable!

While most of the technical issues are fixed via patches that the developers are rolling out, a few, like the “out of video memory” error, require changes from your end.

With that said, here’s my guide on how to fix Stalker 2 out of video memory error.

What is Stalker 2 out of video memory error?

As explained by Reddit user BreezyF1, the Stalker 2 running out of video memory is an issue faced by users who have Intel 13th —and 14th-gen processors.

While it says video memory, your GPU has nothing to do with the error.

In fact, it is associated with your Motherboard and is mainly caused by the Intel Chips.

That being out of the way, here’s how to fix it.

How to fix Stalker 2 out of video memory error

To fix Stalker 2’s out of video memory error, you must set your Processor Cores at 53 using the Intel Xtreme Tuning Utility app.

If you already have the app installed, open it and head to the ‘Advance Tuning’ option.

Scroll down, and you will find the cores under ‘Performance Per-Core Tuning.’

You can change the cores in that section and set them to 53. By default, it should be 57.

Save and exit.

Now, try to run Stalker 2. The issue should be gone.

How to download the Intel Xtreme Tuning Utility app

You can download Intel’s Xtreme Tuning Utility app from the official website.

Though to make things easier for you, I have linked the app below:
