Blood of Dawnwalker is a dark fantasy action RPG from developers Rebel Wolves that was recently announced. In the wake of that, I am here with a detailed guide sharing everything we know about the game, from its expected release date to platforms, trailers, story, game engine, etc.

For people who don’t know, Rebel Wolves is a Polish game development studio led by former Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.
And—he is not alone, as his team comprises former devs from CD Projekt Red who have worked on the same game and the recent Cyberpunk 20277.
Back in October 2024, Rebel Wolves signed a publishing deal with Bandai Namco for their upcoming project, which we now know as The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Later, in December 2024, both Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves announced the game reveal trailer for their project, slated to arrive in January 2025.
Guess what?
It is January 2025 at the time of writing, and on January 13, 2025, at 1 pm PST, they finally shared an almost five-minute-long trailer revealing the game.
This also gave us a glimpse at the story, setting, main protagonist, and game engine, along with a few seconds of gameplay footage.
With the basic details being out of the way, let us check out when The Blood of Dawnwalker is expected to come out, the release platforms, all the trailers we have for it, the story, and other details.
The Blood of Dawnwalker’s expected release date
At the time of writing, we don’t have any official release window for The Blood of Dawnwalker.
However, the game’s release might be closer than most of you might think, as we are already getting a gameplay trailer in Summer 2025.
Moreover, the game reveal trailer also showcased some alpha footage from the game, which looked promising.
If you ask me, I think The Blood of Dawnwalker will get release in Q4 2025 or Q1 2026.
So why do I come to that conclusion?
That is because Konrad Tomaszkiewicz founded Rebel Wolves back in February 2022, and they were already working on their debut project.
Three to four years for delivering a complete single-player experience, especially with veteran devs, is more than enough.
As always, I will update this section with new details on the game and its release as we get them from Rebel Wolves, Bandai Namco, or any other party.
The Blood of Dawnwalker’s release platforms
The game will be officially releasing on the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S platforms.
Sorry! But no previous gen.
This is understandable, as the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5.
So, fingers crossed! Mainly for PC players!

Though the exact date is still unknown.
The Blood of Dawnwalker story and who is the main protagonist?
Set in 14th-century Europe during the time of the Black Death pandemic, where bloody conflicts sweep the lands, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows the story of a young man named Coen, who was turned into a vampire, aka Dawnwalker.
Thanks to that, Coen can use his vampiric strength and human resolve to face the foes that come in the form of humans, monsters, or even the daylight.
