The Philosopher’s Riddle is a Unique rarity weapon in Avowed.
Just like Anextli’s Grimoire and Caeroc’s Pride pistol.
It is a two-handed greatsword whose special effect allows it to deal bonus poison damage whereas a full combo makes the attack speed much faster.
While the weapon comes +2 upgraded, you can further improve its quality and enchant it to make it even better.
For Resolve and Might-based builds, The Philosopher’s Riddle is a great overpowered weapon to have.

Where to find The Philosopher’s Riddle sword
In Avowed, you can find The Philosopher’s Riddle two-handed sword on top of Castol’s Folly.
I have marked its exact location in the above map screenshot.
First of all, enter Castol’s Folly using the rocks on the western part.
[Just swim straight from Shanty Town to Castol’s Folly and you will spot the rocks.]
Enter the area through the broken wall.
You will find some high-level enemies.
Take them out and follow the main path.
Keep following the main path until you arrive at the above location.
From there, you must take the path on the right side.
[There’s an enemy that you can sneak up to and attack for some extra damage.]
You will finally be able to see the delipidated caste at Castol’s Folly.
Parkour your way through the rocks to reach the top of the building.
Once you are there, you will find The Philosopher’s Riddle +2 Unique rarity sword between giant mushroom-like flowers.
Collect the greatsword!
Now, before you head back, make your way to the other end of the roof.
