The Pyromancer’s Chest is a locked chest that you can find in the Dawnshores region that seems like any other chest but holds a rather unique story.
The hunt for its key also leads players to a great Unique Anextli’s Grimoire that I highly recommend using, especially in the early game, as an off-hand weapon.
It allows you to cast a defensive spell that negates 50% damage and more based on upgrade and Enchantment.
And, it also holds offensive spells.
What’s best is that you get high-quality Grimoires from the Pyromancer’s Chest, a ton of upgrade and Enchantment materials, and much more.
That is not it.

Where to find the Pyromancer’s Chest in Avowed
You can find the Pyromancer’s Chest in a camp located at the above-marked location.
It is between the Old Pargun Wall and the Berath’s Gateway cemetery.
Head to the marked location and you will easily find the Pyromancer’s Chest.
As you can see in the above screenshot, it is big and hard to miss.
The hint to the Pyromancer’s Chest Key is found within the letter found in the camp.
Just look right of the Pyromancer’s Chest and you will spot it.

Avowed Pyromancer’s Chest Key location
The Pyromancer’s Chest Key is found on top of a ridge south of Berath’s Gateway at the above-marked location.
You can even spot the location from the Pyromancer’s Chest location.
Just turn around and look at the nearby cliff with the flag.
[You must head there to get the Pyromancer’s Chest Key.]
To reach the Pyromancer’s Key location, enter the Berath’s Gateway Cemetery through the front gate.
[You can also reach the key’s location via Fractured Shores.]
Once you are inside, follow the main path.
You will find a group of graverobbers.
Don’t spare them. Just leave the big guy!
First, select the dialogue option, “Honestly, I was just looking around. Maybe pay respects to the dead.”
Now, select “You seem nervous, big guy. Perhaps we can work something out?”
Once done, select “You have until your friends are dead. I’d get moving if I were you.”
After you select the above dialogue, the big guy will run away and you will have to fight the Graverobber Leader and one of her companions.
Take them out and exit the area through the gate on the right side.
Once you are out, look on your left and you will find a path leading up to the ridge.
Take it and keep following the main path.
You will eventually arrive at the Pyromancer’s Chest Key location.
Avowed Anextli’s Grimoire early game location
You can find the Unique Anextli’s Grimoire next to the Pyromancer’s Chest Key.
Pick it up as it is one of the best, if not the best Grimoires in the entire game.
What do you get from Pyromancer’s Chest in Avowed
The Pyromancer’s Chest holds crafting materials, Silver Fenning currency, and high-Quality Grimoires and such things.
The best reward that you get from all this is Anextli’s Grimoire in my opinion.
