If you are looking for the location of the Fungal Head to clean and charge it to stabilize the portal inside the T2 Teleportation Lab in Black Ops 6 Zombies, I’ve got you covered with this guide.
For players who don’t know, after obtaining and charging The Cyst key item, initiating a power surge to spawn and defeat the Forsaken boss to get the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon, the next task in players’ hands is to obtain the Fungal Head.
The Fungal Head is a key item that you must obtain, clean, and charge with zombie souls to use at the portal inside the T2 Teleportation Lab.
If you don’t know how to access that, well, you must find and use the Syringe to eventually get the Fowler-Mutant Injection that you can use to turn into a Mangler, to get past the biometrics door in T2 Dark Entity Containment area.
Back to the topic, the Fungal Head is well hidden in the T1 Quantum Computing Core area and can only be obtained when you have the Gorgofex.
So, assuming you have it, here’s how you can find and use the Fungal Head in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Black Ops 6 Zombies Reckoning map Fungal Head location
The Fungal Head is hidden on a balcony located between the T1 Mutant Research Lab and the T1 Quantum Computing area.
Head to the T1 Mutant Research Lab and look for the massive hole in the ground.
Stand near it, and you will be able to spot the balcony with the Fungal Head.
To make things easier, I have marked it in the above screenshot.
Fire a charged shot of the Gorgofex at the blue spore plant in the balcony.
If done correctly, you will see an item with a glimmering trail fall down on the ground as you can see in the above screenshot.
It is the Fungal Head. Collect it.
Black Ops 6 Zombies Reckoning map water bucket locations and how to fill them up
To clean the Fungal Head, you must head to the water bucket locations and use the nearby sprinklers to fill them up.
Bucket 1 location
The first water bucket is near the spawn area, on the right side.
Note: Make sure no one leaves the area, as going through the security gate will trigger the sprinklers, and if you can place the bucket below the sprinkler in time, you won’t be able to fill it.
Use melee attacks to place the bucket below the sprinkler on the ceiling.
The bucket has to be in the sprikler’s range and not exactly below it. So don’t worry!
Once you place the bucket, go through the security gate.
Doing so will trigger the sprinkler system in the spawn area and you will be able to fill the bucket.
As you can see in the above screenshot, the bucket is filled with water.
Note
Once you obtain the Fungal Head, interact with the filled bucket to place the head inside it.
After that, interact once again to collect it.
Doing so will trigger the Fungal Head charging phase, where you must take out enough blue-eyed zombies to charge the Fungal Head.
Bucket 2 location
Apart from the spawn area, you can find another water bucket in the T2 Android Assembly area near Klaus’s location.
Similar to before, use melee attacks to align the bucket below the sprinkler.
Once it is near the sprinkler, use explosives nearby to trigger the sprinkler and fill the bucket.

After you clean the Fungal Head and pick it up, you will be able to spot its icon in the bottom right side of the game screen.
It shows your progress towards charging the Fungal Head with zombie souls.
Once it is fully charged, head to the T2 Teleportation Lab, go near the portal and press the interact button to place it.
The portal will absorb the Fungal Head and will stabilize.
