The beloved green Ogre that many of us grew up watching, Shrek, and his best friend Donkey, are in Borderlands 4 as an easter egg. And while there is no side quest or reward attached to the easter egg other than one of Amon’s Echo Logs in the area, I still recommend checking it out.
Here’s where you can find Shrek’s easter egg in Borderlands 4.
Where to find Shrek’s easter egg in Borderlands 4
You can find Shrek’s easter egg in the swamps located near Mirehome POI in the Idolator’s Noose sub-region of the Fadefields region.
The closest teleport point is Wyclef’s Reprieve Safe House. If you have it unlocked, teleport there.
You can drop down from the safe house into the swamps. Just make sure to stick to the right side.
You will find the entrance to Shrek’s layer at the above marked location.
There are a lot of stop and caution signs. You can use it as a reference to ensure you are at the right spot.
That said, from the sign’s location, head straight.
You will come across a giant broken pipe-like structure. Go through it.
You will arrive at Shrek’s easter egg location. In the game, Shrek is called ‘Wreck’ and his Donkey is called ‘Burro.’
Defeat them and make your way towards the end of the lair.
You will find Amon’s Echo Log – Till Death Do Us Part on the ground.
