If you are unable to find the Pylons to charge them to get rid of the shields during the Exile Overseer boss battle, my Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate Destroy Shields with Pylons guide will come in handy.

The Exile Overseer is the first boss that players encounter during The Edge of Fate introductory quest, The Invitation.

During the quest, right after you interact with the Dark Matter and unlock the ability to transform into Matterspark, you are tasked to escape the area.

Right after that, you encounter the Exile Overseer boss.

When the boss’s HP reaches 50%, he gets a shield that you can only undo by charging two Pylons hidden in the area.

As simple as it sounds, some players may get stuck in this section.

In the wake of that, I prepared this detailed guide, which covers where you can find these two Pylons and complete the objective, “Destroy Shields with Pylons.”

The Invitation – Destroy Shields with Pylons

You can find the first Pylon on the right side of the area, whereas the second one is on the far left of the area.

Pylon 1 location

The first Pylon can be accessed through the tunnel marked in the above screenshot.

Head there and ensure you are in the Matterspark form, then travel through it.

On the other side, you will find the Pylon.

Hold the attack button (LMB on PC) to charge the Pylon.

Once done, use the pipe on the opposite end to get outside.

Pylon 2 location

To reach the second Pylon, right after you exit the first Pylon’s location, take a right and follow the above-marked path.

Once you reach the top, look on the right side.

You will spot the second pipe through which you can access the room with the second Pylon.

Travel through it, charge the second Pylon, and exit the area.

That’s it. The shield will be gone, and you will be able to defeat the Exile Overseer boss.

That concludes my guide on Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate Destroy Shields with Pylons. If the article helped, please consider buying me a Coffee to help me create more content. You can also share the guide with your friends or leave a comment.
