If you are trying to play Elden Ring Nightreign solo, with friends or random players, but aren’t able to decide which Nightfarer you should play as—my Elden Ring Nightreign class tier list will make it easier for you to make the decision.
For players who don’t know, Elden Ring Nightreign offers a sort of class-based characters, each with unique active and passive skills, starting weapons, stat distribution, and so on.
These character classes are called Nightfarers!
At launch, the game has eight unique Nightfarers that players can use in their runs.
As I mentioned earlier, each Nightfarer comes with certain skills, stat distribution, starting weapons, and such things that put them in a certain archetype.
For example, we have the Mage-type Nightfarer, Recluse, the Assasin-type Nightfarer, Duchess, the Ranger-type Nightfarer, Ironeye, etc.
With all these options and the unavailability of traditional build crafting, choosing the right Nightfarer to play is difficult, especially for new players.
And since not every Nightfarer is equal and offers the same level of application, DPS, and such things, there are some good and some bad ones.
Seeing all that, I decided to prepare this tier list, ranking all the Nightfarers under different tiers from best to worst while also talking about each of them.
So keep reading!
All Nightfarers, their skills, starting weapon, and more in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here is a comprehensive look at all the Nightfarers in Elden Ring Nightreign:
Wylder

Wylder is a well-balanced class that comes with a high Base HP and other stats compared to others.
It offers a mix of good damage while not sacrificing the attack speed.
- Base HP: 220
- Base FP: 55
- Base Stamina: 54
- Passive skill: Sixth Sense
- Cheat death a single time.
- Active skill: Claw Shot
- Launch grappling claw to rope foes in or move swiftly by retracting.
- Ultimate skill: Onslaught Stake
- Powerful single attack that launches an iron stake with a great explosion.
- Starting gear: Wylder’s Greatsword and Wylder’s Small Shield
Guardian

The Guardian is your usual Tank class suited for the Support role.
It comes with the highest base HP and also has increased attack damage resistance.
Other than that, its skills are also support-based, duh.
For example, its Ultimate, Wings of Salvation helps in reviving fallen enemies quickly while also providing a defensive buff.
- Base HP: 260
- Base FP: 55
- Base Stamina: 60
- Passive skill: Steel Guard
- Plant feet and brace with a shield for a more powerful guard.
- Active skill: Whirlwind
- Sprout wings from your back to whip up a wind-churning cyclone.
- Ultimate skill: Wings of Salvation
- Leap up and dive back down to raise protective area.
- Starting gear: Guardian’s Halberd and Guardian’s Greatshield
Duchess

The Duchess is your Assassin-type character and my personal favorite as she reminds me of Lady Maria.
That said, her skills are based around stealth and boosting damage inflicted on enemies done by you and your teammates.
While she is one of the best DPS Nightfarers in the game, she lacks survivability.
- Base HP: 160
- Base FP: 65
- Base Stamina: 54
- Passive skill: Magnificient Poise
- Attack and dodge optimally, dodging repeatedly when necessary.
- Active skill: Restage
- Stage reprisal of recent occurrences to damage nearby foes.
- Ultimate skill: Finale
- Obscure self and surrounding allies to hide from foes.
- Starting gear: Duchess’s Dagger and Shield Grease x3
Recluse

Recluse is the Mage-type class for players who used to spam spells like Comet Azur, Rock Sling, etc.
While it has a very low base HP and requires a lot of FP management, damage-wise, the Recluse is yet another great DPS class.
Moreover, it also can act as a support thanks to its Ultimate, Souldblood Song that marks enemies for a certain time, making players regain HP and FP by landing a hit.
- Base HP: 140
- Base FP: 70
- Base Stamina: 54
- Passive skill: Elemental Defense
- Discover affinity residues that can be collected to replenish FP.
- Active skill: Magic Cocktail
- Collect the affinity residues of targets to fire an affinity-exploiting magic cocktail.
- Ultimate skill: Soulblood Song
- Unleash forbidden blood chant to brand nearby foes with blood sigils. [Attacking enemies during this time will replenish FP and HP.]
- Starting gear: Recluse’s Staff, Glintstone Pebble and Glintstone Arc
Ironeye

The Ironeye is a great class for players who were mad enough to run Bow builds in the base game.
In Nightreign, the Ironeye is suited for a support role or as a Sub DPS.
His skills are based on increasing drops from enemies, marking enemies’ weak spots for increased damage for a certain time, and dealing massive single-target damage even irrespective of the enemy’s defenses.
- Base HP: Will be updated soon!
- Base FP: Will be updated soon!
- Base Stamina: Will be updated soon!
- Passive skill: Eagle Eye
- A keenly observant eye discovers more items to obtain from foes.
- Active skill: Marking
- Cut foe with dagger, creating temporary weak point.
- Ultimate skill: Single Shot
- Fire powerful arrow that surpasses sound and ignores any defense.
- Starting gear: Will be updated soon!
Raider

The Raider is your Strength-based Warrior class suited for players who like to use heavy weapons to deal massive damage while enjoying the hyperarmor.
It also excels in staggering enemies, even bosses, thanks to its active skill, Retaliate.
Whereas, its Ultimate, Totem Stela summons a tombstone to deal damage while boosting allies, allowing them to do plunge attacks or use it more creatively for general traversal.
- Base HP: Will be updated soon!
- Base FP: Will be updated soon!
- Base Stamina: Will be updated soon!
- Passive skill: Fighter’s Resolve
- Taking damage boosts Retaliate potency, cannot be knocked down while using it.
- Active skill: Retaliate
- Assume attack stance and pummel vigorously. A defensive posture which reduces incoming damage. An enhanced skill which causes even larger enemies to recoil.
- Ultimate skill: Totem Stela
- Drive gravekeeper’s wedge into earth to summon a giant tombstone.
- Starting gear: Will be updated soon!
Executor

The Executor is a Samurai class that will give you the vibes of using Wolf, aka Sekiro.
Its passive ability increases your survivability, and its active skill allows you to deflect enemies’ attacks, feels a lot like using the Mortal Blade from Sekiro.
Moreover, its Ultimate skill transforms you into a beast, allowing you to deal massive damage while not worrying much about enemies’ attacks.
To me, it is the best class for solo players.
- Base HP: Will be updated soon!
- Base FP: Will be updated soon!
- Base Stamina: Will be updated soon!
- Passive skill: Tenacity
- Receive boost after recovering from status ailments. Effect boosts attack and stamina recovery speed.
- Active skill: Cursed Sword
- Draw a cursed sword that can deflect enemy attacks. Repeated deflections reveal blade, enabling powerful attacks with the living sword. Cannot run while at ready with enchanted blade.
- Ultimate skill: Aspects of the Crucible: Beast
- Assume the form of the primordial beast. Use unique attacks in beast form that drain the Ultimate Art gauge. Activate again to quickly undo transformation.
- Starting gear: Will be updated soon!
Revenant

The Revenant is a Summoner class.
- Base HP: TBA
- Base FP: TBA
- Base Stamina: TBA
- Passive skill: TBA
