For players who don’t know, Ogua is a Cryptid that was first introduced with the Once in a Blue Moon update.
Now, with Burning Springs, not only do we have more Ogua spawns, but there are also many challenges associated with it.
There are also parts of the Burning Springs main quest that, depending on RNG, require you to kill an Ogua.
As a result, I prepared this handy guide talking about the best spawns for Ogua in Fallout 76.
Best Ogua spawn location in Fallout 76
Unlike most Cryptids, which have multiple spawn locations all around Appalachia, Ogua’s spawn, at least the consistent one, is tied to two events. These are:
- Beasts of Burden and
- Sinkhole Solutions [Added with Burning Springs update]
Of the above two, the Sinkhole Solutions event is the best one for farming Ogua and completing associated challenges.
The event not only has a 100% guaranteed Ogua spawn, as the turtle is the main boss, based on the players doing the event, there’s a high chance for more than one Ogua to spawn.
Also, since Burning Springs is a new region, the Sinkhole Solutions event is more frequent than the other.

The Sinkhole Solutions event takes place at Tycoon Lake POI.
Complete the event steps, and at the end, you will get the objective to “Exterminate the final wave.”
In the final wave, the Ogua is the main boss, along with different variants of Radscorpions.
Other than events, Ogua also spawn in random encounters in The Mire region, but it is very inconsistent, and I don’t recommend it for challenges.
Another BIG NOTE is that some of the usual Cryptid spawn locations also have a chance to spawn the Ogua.
But due to the spawn being highly inconsistent, the Sinkhole Solutions event is the best way to do Ogua-related challenges or farm its drops.
