If you are looking for the best weapons, artifacts, and team comps for Mavuika, my Genshin Impact Mavuika best build guide will be useful as it covers everything.
Even though being slightly late, Hoyoverse has finally announced Mavuika as one of the three new upcoming characters in version 5.3.
With that and the fact that we already know Mavuika’s Ascension and Talent materials and complete character kit, thanks to the reliable leakers, it is time to talk about which weapons, artifacts, and teams will be best for her.
But before that, for players who live under a rock, Mavuika is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ playable character.
She uses a Claymore, and her element is Pyro. Well, that is obvious, as she is the Pyro Archon.
When it comes to her character kit, her abilities make her a great DPS, who can also fill in the role of an off-field Support and Sub DPS.
Now that the basic details being out of the way, here’s my guide on the best Mavuika build in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Mavuika’s best build

The best build for Mavuika revolves around improving her ATK as her abilities scale with it, along with CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG.
The build also focuses on improving her Pyro DMG and such stats, though the primary target will be the ones mentioned above.
That being said, let us talk about Mavuika’s Elemental Skill, The Named Moment:
Elemental Skill: The Named Moment

Calling upon her authority over “conflict,” Mavuika summons the All-Fire Armaments passed down through the line of human Archons, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG
After using this, Mavuika’s Nightsoul points are restored to max value, and she enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state.
All-Fire Armaments
It has different forms depending on whether you Tap the Elemental Skill button or hold it.
Tap

“Divine Name Unleashed”: The All-Fire Armaments manifest as Rings of Searing Radiance.
[Similar to the Electro Ring that we get whenever we use Raiden Shogun’s Elemental Skill]
The Rings follow the current active character and attack nearby opponents at intervals, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG.
Hold

“Ancient Name Unbound”: The All-Fire Armaments manifest as a Flamestrider.
In this state, Mavuika can ride the Flamestrider at high speed or activate its hidden backup propulsion module to cross various terrain types temporarily and glide in mid-air.
Mavuika’s Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will also be converted to deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG which cannot be overridden.
She also deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG when sprinting to opponents along her path.
While in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Tapping the Elemental Skill can switch the All-Fire Armaments’ form.
The Armaments will disappear once Mavuika’s Nightsoul’s Blessing state ends.
Nightsoul’s Blessing: Mavuika

Continuously consumes Nightsoul points according to the All-Fire Armaments’ form.
Mavuika’s Nightsoul’s Blessing state ends once her Nightsoul points are exhausted.
Like every other Natlan character, Mavuika’s Elemental Skill utilizes the Natlan-specific gameplay mechanic, Nightsoul Blessing.
For players who are looking to use Mavuika as an off-field Support, her ‘Tap’ Elemental Skill, Divine Name Unleashed, should be your primary focus.
That said, let us check out Mavuika’s Elemental Burst.
Elemental Burst: Hour of Burning Skies

First of all, unlike other characters, Mavuika doesn’t use Energy to use her Elemental Burst.
Instead, there’s a new mechanic in place called Fighting Spirit.
So, how do you gain this Fighting Spirit?

There are two ways to gain Fighting Spirit for using Mavuika’s ult in Genshin Impact. These are:
- Using Nightsoul Points: Whenever your party uses Nightsoul points in combat, Mavuika gains Fighting Spirit.
- Party using Normal Attacks: Whenever your party uses Normal Attacks on enemies, Mavuika gains 1.5 Fighting Spirit every 0.1s.
That said, you don’t need 100% Fighting Spirit to use Mavuika’s Elemental Burst.
You can use the ability at 50% or above.

However, based on the Fighting Spirit you have, the damage Mavuika and party members deal increases, thanks to her Passive Skill “Kiongozi.”
While I will share all of her Passive Skills below, here’s a breakdown of the above skill:
Depending on the Fighting Spirit Mavuika has when you use her Elemental Burst, DMG that the currently active character deals increases by 0.25%.
The maximum DMG bonus you get this way is 50%, and this effect lasts 20s, decaying over this duration until it reaches 0.
Now, let us talk about her actual Elemental Burst, Hour of Burning Skies:
Whenever you use Mavuika’s Elemental Burst, she gains 10 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state.
She rides her Flamestrider high in the air.
She uses a powerful Sunfell Slice against opponents on the ground, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG and entering the “Crucible of Death and Life” state.
Crucible of Death and Life

When Mavuika enters the Crucible of Death and Life state, her actions no longer consume Nightsoul points.
Moreover, her interruption resistance is increased.
On top of that, the DMG dealt by Sunfell Slice and “Ancient Name Unbound” Normal and Charged Attacks is increased based on the amount of Fighting Spirit she has when using the Elemental Burst.
The Crucible of Death and Life will be canceled when Mavuika leaves the field.
Lastly, before I talk about the best weapons, artifacts, and teams for Mavuika, here, take a look at her Passive Skills:
Mavuika’s Passive Skills

- Life Talent: The party’s Nightsoul Transmission CD is decreased by 20%.
- Night Realm’s Gift: Exhaust Mode: After Nightsoul points have been fully depleted, Mavuika will switch to using Phlogiston to maintain the All-Fire Armaments’ Flamestrider form.
- While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, Nightsoul Transmission: Mavuika can be used.
- When the current active character is sprinting, climbing, swimming, in movement modes caused by certain Talents, or at a certain height in the air, switching to Mavuika will trigger the following: Mavuika enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and obtains 50% of her maximum Nightsoul points.
- Nightsoul Transmission can be triggered once every 10 seconds by your own party.

- Gift of Flaming Flowers: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Mavuika’s ATK increases by 35% for 10 seconds.
- “Kiongozi”: After using her Elemental Burst, Hour of Burning Skies, every point of Fighting Spirit present when it is used increases the DMG that the current active character deals by 0.25%.
- The maximum increase obtainable this way is 50%, and this effect lasts 20 seconds, decaying over this duration until it reaches 0.
Now that you have a detailed look at Mavuika’s abilities, it will be easy to understand why I chose the below weapons, artifacts and teams for her.
The best weapons for Mavuika in Genshin Impact

Similar to any other character, the best in-slot weapon for Mavuika in the game is her Signature Claymore, A Thousand Blazing Suns.
It offers a CRIT Rate% sub stat and a weapon skill called Sunset Reignites the Dawn tailored to Mavuika’s character kit.

For players who don’t know how A Thousand Blazing Suns Claymore weapon skill works, well, whenever you use the weapon, you gain the “Scorching Brilliance” effect.
While this effect is active, whenever you use Elemental Skill or Burst, you gain 20% CRIT DMG and a 28% ATK bonus for 6 seconds every 10 seconds.
You can extend the duration of the Scorching Brilliance state by 2 seconds every 1 second for up to 6 seconds whenever your Normal and Charged Attack deals Elemental DMG.
On top of all this, when the equipping character is in Nightsoul’s Blessing state, “Scorching Brilliance” effects are increased by 75%, and its duration will only count down when the equipping character is on the field.
Other great weapons for Mavuika

Now, not everyone will pull for Mavuika’s Signature Claymore, as we also have Citlali, whose banner will be going live with the same update and many re-runs.
So, for such players, the best alternate Claymore for Mavuika is the Wolf’s Gravestone, as it massively increases the ATK%.
If you have pulled for any other ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Claymore, such as Verdict and Beacon of the Reed Sea, you can also use them.
Free to play and battle pass weapons for Mavuika

Here are some other free-to-play friendly weapons for Mavuika that I recommend using:
- Blackcliff Slasher
- Earth Shaker
- Fruitful Hook
- Serpent Spine
- Talking Stick
- Luxurious Sea-Lord

I will be using the Blackcliff Slasher or Luxurious Sea-Lord on Mavuika.
The best artifacts for Mavuika in Genshin Impact

The best artifact for Mavuika is the Obsidian Codex artifact set, as it greatly boosts CRIT Rate based on Nightsoul Point usage while also increasing DMG dealt.

Here’s the stat bonus you get from the Obsidian Codex artifact set:
- 2-Piece bonus: While the equipping character is in Nightsoul’s Blessing and is on the field, their DMG dealt is increased by 15%.
4-Piece bonus: After the equipping character consumes 1 Nightsoul point while on the field, the CRIT Rate increases by 40% for 6s. This effect can trigger once every second.
The Obsidian Codex is the best artifact, but only if you want to use Mavuika as the main on-field DPS.

There’s no good artifact if you use Mavuika as an off-field Support.
You can use something like the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, but I think that would be a complete waste.
Even old artifacts like Noblesse Oblige would not be that great.
So, I would recommend waiting for now, as we will be getting new artifacts with new version updates.
Which may prove to be a far better set for Mavuika off-field Support builds than the current ones.
Best team comps for Mavuika in Genshin Impact

When it comes to the best team comps for Mavuika, I recommend using only Natlan characters.
While you can surely mix in characters like Xiangling, Bennet, or such, try to have one or two (preferred) characters from Natlan.
That said, here are some of the team comps that I think would work well with Mavuika:
Team Comp 1
