Whether you are looking for the location of the Vault of the Mire in the Acasa Marsh or have already found it and now want to know the correct symbol combination to open the vault door in Hell Is Us, I’ve got you covered with this guide.
For players who don’t know, each region in the game has a hidden vault that you can open using a combination of symbols that represent emotions like grief, rage, etc.
The game calls them the Vault of Forbidden Knowledge, with each having a unique name, and I call them the vault that holds the best gear and loot that you can find in the game, aka loot vaults.
While you come across these vaults early on in the game, the hints and correct symbol combinations required to open these vaults are found later via the Research option.
Each vault has a special item that you can ‘Research’ on via Tania inside the APC to get the correct symbol combination to access it.
However, you can also access them at any point in the game if you know the correct combination.
In this guide, I have shared the location of the Vault of Mire found in the Acasa Marshes region and the correct combination to open its door.
Where to find the Vault of Mire in Acasa Marshes in Hell Is Us
You can find the Vault of Mire on the other side of the Observation Outpost 08, located near the hanging tree in the Acasa Marshes area.

Once you are inside the outpost, follow the path on the right side.
On your way, you will find a dead body with an OMSIF Deployment Order – Acasa Marshes exploration item, collect it.
Keep moving, and you will come across a giant circular stone with drawings.
The one that you see in the above screenshot.
Left of it is the cave with the Vault of Mire. However, before you head inside, follow the path on the right side.
There are a few enemies. Take them out.
You will find another dead body with an item on it.
Collect the item as it is a Hig-Tech Case with two masks that you can research via Tania inside the APC. It is associated with a trophy.
Head back to the cave entrance.
Head inside.
You will eventually arrive at the Vault of Mire locked door.

The correct combination to unlock the Vault of the Mire found inside the cave in Observation Outpost 08 in the Acasa Marshes region is Rage -> Ecstasy -> Terror -> Grief.
Set the Rage symbol in the first dial.
Set the Ecstasy symbol in the second dial.
Set the Terror symbol in the third dial.
Set the Grief symbol in the final dial.
Doing so will open the vault door.
Inside the Vault of Mire, you find three of the most powerful weapons in the game, which are almost fully upgraded.
The Twin Axes of Ecstasy.
The Polearm of Terror.
The Greatsword of Rage.
You also get a great Active Relic called the Heart of the Griffon.
Other than that, you also get a few lore items as you see above.
