If you are trying to craft the Lightning Gene or any other item that requires the new Prismverse’s Clash exclusive Anima Fragments but don’t know how to get them, my guide on how to get and farm Anima Fragments in Once Human and all Deviations that drop it will be handy.
For players who don’t know, the Prismverse’s Clash, aka Once Human version 1.2, is finally live and the new PvP Scenario has a lot of new things to offer. From choosing between Mayfly or Rosetta factions to new Memetic Specializations, Prism Deviants and many other things.
Among them, we have the new Gene based items that players need for crafting certain serums that can boost their offensive and defensive capability.
With that said, here’s my guide on how to get and farm Anima Fragments!
How to get Anima Fragment in Once Human
In Once Human, you can get Anima Fragments as an RNG drop from Deviations fused with objects, granted you have the Gene Extractor in your backpack.
Whenever you kill such Deviations, you will have a chance to get an Anima Fragment. But since the drop is not guaranteed, farming it becomes real challenging.
How to get Gene Extractor
You can unlock the Gene Extractor recipe by unlocking any of the following Legendary Mayfly Memetic Specializations:
- Judgment Coherence Injection
- Nature Coherence Injection
- Speed Coherence Injection
- Elysium Coherence Injection
Once you have learned the Memetic Specialization, head to the Supplies Workbench and you will find the Gene Extractor ready to craft.

Here are the materials you need for crafting the Gene Extractor:
- Copper x10
- Stardust Source x5
- Acid x10
All Deviations that drop Anima Fragments in Once Human
Any Deviation in the game that has merged with an object will have a chance to drop Anima Fragments.
Here’s a list of them:
- Watcher Deviations
- Gas Cylinder Deviations
- Doll Spider Deviations
- Crawling Searchlight Deviations
- Baloon Deviations
- Bulb Flies

Best farming spot for Anima Fragments in Once Human
The best farming spot for Anima Fragments is Holt Town located at the coordinates: 3792, -4469.
Update
Monolith of Greed is yet another great location to farm Anima Fragments, along with Starlith and Deviation Fragments.
At each entry and exit point of the area, you will find two to four Watcher Deviations, which you can farm.
In the town, inside the houses, you will find the Doll Spider Deviation and the Crawling Searchlight Deviation.
Around the town, you will find a ton of Bulb Flies and the Watcher Deviations for the Anima Fragments.
Revisiting the location or waiting outside of the town will spawn the enemies again. So, you can continue farming them for the Anima Fragments.
Apart from that, if you are looking for a safe area, Harborside and Brookham also spawn some of these Deviations that drop the Anima Fragments.
However, I won’t recommend it as much as Holt Town because Holt Town is full of Deviations that drop Anima Fragments, which means higher gains with each run.

I add more farming spots if I find any good one other than Holt Town.
How to use Anima Fragments in Once Human
To use Anima Fragments in Once Human, you must have any of the new Memetic Specializations like the Lightning Gene, Proliferation Gene, Extreme Gene, Bastille Gene and others or at least any of the four Coherence Injection unlocked (which you should have as the same is required for the Gene Extractor)
Once you have their recipe unlocked, head to the Supplies Workbench, and you will find the item ready to craft using Anima Fragment and other materials.
