While she may look like Himeko’s long-lost little daughter, Tribbie shouldn’t be mistaken for a weak, filler character until Castorice arrives in 3.2.
Tribbie can shred enemies’ defenses and deal AoE Quantum follow-up attacks, which makes her an immensely deadly and versatile unit.

Why should you pull for Tribbie in Honkai Star Rail?
Before I get into the best team compositions for Tribbie, I feel like I must point out what makes Tribbie such a standout 5-star Harmony unit, at least in my opinion.
Tribbie is currently the only 5-star Harmony unit in HSR that can work with any team. She is very flexible and isn’t suited only for Break Effects or Summon teams like Ruan Mei and Sunday.
To that end, if you are someone who avoids pulling 5-star Harmony units, ironically, you shouldn’t miss out on Tribbie.
While she can work well in those aforementioned teams, Tribbie is most efficient in teams with multiple AoE-dealing DPS characters.
As such, you want to have DPS characters that deal AoE and follow-up attacks in to make the most out of Tribbie’s abilities.
Best premium Tribbie team in Honkai Star Rail
For the best premium Tribbie team in Honkai Star Rail, I recommend going with the following units:
- The Herta (DPS)
- Jade / Feixiao / Acheron (Sub-DPS)
- Linghsa (Sub-DPS/Healer)
The Herta and Jade dual-DPS setup works best with Tribbie.
They both deal AoE attacks. Additionally, Jade can deal AoE follow-up attacks.
The Herta is easily the best DPS character in HSR right now, but with Jade by her side, she can be even more powerful and apply party-wide buffs.
Most importantly, The Herta can regenerate energy quickly, thanks to one of her talents, which allows her to unleash her ultimate more frequently.
The Herta’s ultimate not just deals massive AoE damage to all enemies but also boosts Herta’s attack and triggers a follow-up attack from Tribbie.
As I mentioned above, Tribbie can shred all enemies’ defenses, which allows The Herta and Jade to deal bonus damage.
Linghsa also fits into this team surprisingly well. Aside from providing healing support, she can deal AoE follow-up attacks to all enemies.
It’s worth pointing out that both Lingsha and Tribbie can also take advantage of The Herta’s party-wide damage and crit-damage boost, which she procs by having Jade in the team.
Overall, this Tribbie team can rain down huge chunks of AoE follow-up damage while sustaining itself.
Best free-to-play Tribbie team in Honkai Star Rail
For the best free-to-play Tribbie team in Honkai Star Rail, I recommend going with the following units:
- Herta (DPS)
- Serval (Sub-DPS)
- Gallagher (Sub-DPS/Healer)
Like The Herta, Herta synergizes well with Tribbie. She can deal AoE damage and area-wide follow-up attacks.
Serval’s role in this team is pretty straightforward as well. She specializes in dealing AoE lightning damage to enemies.
Additionally, both Herta and Serval can deal bonus damage, thanks to Tribbie’s resistance penetration debuff on enemies.
Gallagher can provide healing support and deal decent Fire damage to enemies. You would want to use his ultimate as frequently as possible, as it can deal AoE damage to enemies and enhance his next basic attack.
In case you don’t recall, Gallagher’s enhanced basic attack can deal single-target Fire damage.
Most importantly, it can reduce an enemy’s attack by 10%, which is most useful against bosses and elite enemies.
Overall, Tribbie’s free-to-play team is pretty decent and works similarly to her premium counterpart.
Best Tribbie mono-Quantum team in Honkai Star Rail
I like assembling mono teams in Honkai Star Rail, and Tribbie is no exception to that.
Hoyo has specifically encouraged mono-Quantum teams in the past, especially since it added Silver Wolf, and now you can build one with Tribbie as well.
Hence, for Tribbie’s mono-Quantum team in Honkai Star Rail, I recommend the following units:
- Jade (DPS)
- Fu Xuan (Sub-DPS)
- Silver Wolf (Sub-DPS)
Silver Wolf is the most vital unit in the team. For starters, she can make enemies weak to Quantum damage.
Next, Silver Wolf can shred the enemy’s defense, which can stack up with Tribbie’s RES PEN.
Silver Wolf can deal decent damage to a single enemy with her skill, which is a bonus over everything else she brings to the table.
Fu Xuan can provide healing support and increase the entire party’s defense.
Most importantly, thanks to her Talent, Fu Xuan can unleash her Ultimate more frequently, allowing Tribbie to execute her Talent’s follow-up attack.
Lastly, Jade can deal tons of AoE and AoE follow-up attack damage.
Also, thanks to Tribbie’s and Silver Wolf’s defense shredding, Jade can deal bonus damage to all enemies.
I think this is the best mono-Quantum team you can build in Honkai Star Rail right now that can function without Sparke, so it’s worth experimenting with.
