Black Ops 7 Zombies’ new map, Paradox Junction, is adding a new upgradable Wonder Weapon, the Blundergat. And if you are looking for details on how to unlock it or the steps involved in upgrading it, I’ve got you covered with this guide.
For returning players, Ashes of the Damned introduced a brand new Wonder Weapon, the Necrofluid Gauntlet.
The next map, Astra Malorum, added LGM-1, and now, the third map, Paradox Junction, is adding yet another Wonder Weapon to the game, Blundergat.
The Blundergat is a potent shotgun with four barrels that deals massive damage. It fires a single shot with pellets blasting out in a horizontal spread instead of a radial one.
It also comes with a high critical multiplier and an upgrade called the Sundergat, which not only makes the weapon even more powerful but also adds additional use cases, abilities and a charged shot capability.
You need the Sundergat upgrade to progress the Paradox Junction main quest easter egg, and that is why this guide will come in handy.
Blundergat and Sundergat Wonder Weapon fire modes and special abilities
In Black Ops 7 Zombies, the base weapon, Blundergat, has a single fire mode, which is the LMB fire. However, the Sundergat upgrade adds three fire modes to the weapon:
- Sundergat: Soul Wrencher
- How to use: TBA
- Description: Although zombies are undead, soulless beings, they are empowered by an energy that enables them to stagger, shamble, maul, and devour. The Sundergat wrenches this energy out of foes it strikes in a blast more powerful than the basic Blundergat. After a fatal blow is inflicted, the foe slumps forward, and keen-eyed crew members may see vaguely human (or hound) shaped cloud of ectoplasm fly up and out of the body before slowly dissipating into oblivion.
- Sundergat: Sunder Purge
- How to use: TBA
- Description: Instead of normal firing, you can choose to expend additional ammunition, charge the weapon, building up a blast with an additional conical area of effect, which — in addition to normal and soul-expelling damage — has the added benefit of knocking down zombies struck by it.
- Sundergat: Sunder Exile
- How to use: TBA
- Description: An alternate way to release a charged-up Sundergat attack is the exile strike. In addition to the usual widespread blast, and the conical Purge area of effect, this apex attack releases a long, narrow beam of focused energy. Anything caught in this shearing ray is torn asunder.

You can obtain the Blundergat through the Mystery Box found all around the map in Black Ops 7 Zombies.
I will add the easter egg step to obtain the Wonder Weapon for free in the Paradox Junction map once it is out.
