Among these, the best ones that players care about most (at least I do) are the Vault Hunter and weapon skins.
And, for players who don’t know, Borderlands 4 already has an exclusive weapon skin called Hazard Pay that players can unlock even before the game launches.
So, if that interests you, keep reading my guide as it shares all the steps required for unlocking and equipping the Hazard Pay skin in the game.
How to get Hazard Pay skin and other rewards at launch in Borderlands 4
You can get the Hazard Pay weapon skin at launch along with other rewards like Golden Keys by signing up for promotion and affiliate email messages from 2K via your SHIFT account.
First of all, head to the SHIFT login page.
After that, log in to your existing SHIFT account or create a new one in case you are a new player and user.
Once you enter your credentials and click on ‘Sign In,’ you will get a confirmation email.
Open the email that you used for the SHIFT account and verify the login.
Once you are logged in, you will find yourself in the SHIFT account profile page.
Scroll down to the ‘User Preference’ section.
After that, click on the checkbox that says, “I would like to receive news and promotional messages from 2K and its affiliates.”
Once done, click on the ‘Update Preferences’ button.
After you update your preference, you will get a confirmation message saying that you will get the skin and ensure to link your account.
On that note, if you haven’t already linked your accounts to your SHIFT account, do it via the ‘Gaming Platforms’ tab in your SHIFT profile.
Now, once the game launches, all you have to do is head to the main menu and select the ‘SHIFT’ option.
There, you can log in to your shift account to claim the Hazard Pay weapon skin.
Once done, you can use the Hazard Pay skin on weapons via the Inventory.
First, head to the Inventory > Equipment tab.
Now, select the weapon you want to use the Hazard Pay skin on.
Press the Inspect button, bring up the Skin menu, and equip it.
