Borderlands 4 is finally out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S platforms, and with that, during the game’s first weekend, we are getting the first community challenge associated with the Break Free Pack.

For players who don’t know, the Break Free Pack is a community challenge reward that includes free cosmetics for all Vault Hunters and a Legendary Shield.

Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Update

Two additional rewards were added to the Break Free Pack on September 14th. In the wake of that, I have updated the article.

How to get the Break Free Pack in Borderlands 4

To get the Break Free Pack in Borderlands 4, you must claim the Break Free Pack SHiFT code in-game or via the SHiFT website.

Once you do that, the Break Free Pack will be sent to your Rewards section, which you can access via the Inventory menu in-game.

Open the Break Free Pack reward box, and all its contents will become accessible for use.

  • Break Free Pack SHiFT code: JS63J-JSCWJ-CFTBW-3TJ3J-WJS5R

The Break Free Pack includes:

  • 1 Vault Hunter Skin usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
  • 1 Legendary Ripper Shield, scales to your Vault Hunter level when redeemed (with a minimum of Lvl 25).
  • Break Free Echo-4 Drone Skin
  • Knox Echo-4 Drone Skin

That being said, here is what Gearbox had to say about the community challenge:

From September 12 to 14, we’ll be behind the scenes monitoring the unbridled carnage you’re unleashing on Kairos. If Borderlands 4 players across all platforms can gather their friends and collectively cause enough Mayhem, we’ll serve up a SHiFT code for the Break Free Pack

While I don’t think playing during the weekend is a mandatory requirement, to be on the safe side, I recommend still doing it. Playing the game on weekends.
