If you have been playing Atomfall, you must already know that the Interchange is the main facility that holds Oberon and all the secrets related to the quarantine zone and the events surrounding it.
As you explore the different regions, you get access to the Interchange.
And within that, we have areas that are either under quarantine, out of power, infested with harmful gas, or locked behind certain puzzles.
Among them, we have the Data Stores, where players must restore power.
And within these Data Stores, we have locked Store Rooms that hold crafting recipes and lucrative rewards.
In this guide, I have explained in detail how you can power up Data Store Charlie in particular and solve the puzzle to unlock the Store Room in Atomfall.
How to restore power in Data Store Charlie in Atomfall
You can power up the Data Store Charlie by inserting an Atomic Battery inside the Charlie Battery Terminal found in the area.
Once you do that, the entire area will power up, including the Medical area within the Interchange.
Which also triggers a new quest called Medical – A Medical Facility.
But that is a whole different topic that I will cover in a different guide.
That being said, first, head to the Slatten Dale Interchange facility.
If you don’t know how to get there, I have a detailed guide on Atomfall Interchange locations.
Once you are inside the Interchange, crawl past the shutter door.
Now, as you can see on the direction board, the Data Store Charlie is on the left side.
Follow the path until you enter the Data Store Charlie room.
From there, take the stairs on the right side.
As you can see in the above screenshot, the entire area is blacked out.
On the same floor, you will find the Charlie Battery Terminal on the right side.
Interact with it and select the Atomic Battery from your inventory to power it up.
Where to find Atomic Battery in Atomfall
There are multiple ways to get Atomic Batteries in Atomfall.
But since we are talking about powering up the Data Store Charlie, the closest one you can get is from Molly, the NPC Vendor.
You can find her at the above marked location at the following coordinates: 26.4E, 79.0N.
Talk to her and exhaust her dialogues.
If you meet her for the first time, based on your dialogue choices, she will even hint you towards the Interchange’s location.
That said, select the Barter dialogue to enter the trade menu.
Molly likes Painkillers and Molotov Cocktails.
To get an Atomic Battery, you need at least three Molotovs.
If you don’t have them, I have a detailed guide on where to find a Molotov Cocktail Recipe so you can craft as many as you want.
Once you obtain the Atomic Battery from Molly, carefully listen to her dialogues.
She will tell you that she had one more Atomic Battery that she sold to the Vicar, whom you can find inside the church at Wyndham Village.
It will also trigger a lead called Atomic Batteries.
So if you have already gotten and used the Atomic Battery from Molly, you can get another one from the Vicar.
How to unlock the Data Store Charlie Store Room in Atomfall
To unlock the Store Room within Data Store Charlie, you need the Data Room C Store Room Key item.
Apart from that, you must also power up the area using the Atomic Battery, which you should have already done if you have been following the guide so far.
You can find the Data Room C Store Room Key on a dead body with a hazmat suit found on the right side of the Store Room’s locked door.
Once you collect the key, inspect it in the Key Items menu, and you will find the Store Room code, which is 5742.
You cannot enter this code at the Store Room’s lock panel.
Instead, you must enter them in the Data Stores.
As you can see in the above screenshot, each side of the server-like structure has a button with a number above it.
To solve the puzzle, you must press the buttons in order.
That is, first press the button below -> 5.
Then press the button below -> 7.
Then -> 4.
And, lastly -> 2.
Once done, go near the locked door of the Store Room.
Interact with the panel on the right side.
Doing so will unlock the Store Room.
What do you find inside the Store Room at Data Store Charlie in Atomfall?
Inside the Data Store Charlie Store Room, you will find a First Aid Kit.
A case with:
- Training Stimulant x1
- Explosive Lure Recipe
Other than that, you also find a document called “Windscale – Protestors at the perimeter.”
Lastly, there is also a bunch of ammo and a few crafting materials.
