Having trouble controlling weapon recoil in Active Matter? I can help you with that.

The gunplay in Active Matter is designed to be fitting for a military shooter. The weapons have a recoil pattern, sway, and everything for a better experience.

However, in random encounters, many players find it hard to control the weapon recoil, miss all the shots, and, you guessed it, have a failed run.

So if you are also struggling with handling the recoil, keep reading!

Reducing the weapon recoil in Active Matter

In Active Matter, you can reduce weapon recoil by using the same keybind for Hold Breath and ADS.

For example, on PC, you aim using the RMB. So, to reduce recoil, assign RMB to the Hold Breath action.

Once you do that, your aim will automatically stabilize whenever you ADS. Try it. I can guarantee you will feel the difference.

To make the changes, first open the pause menu and click the three-line icon in the top-right corner of the game screen.

From the list of menus, select ‘Options.’

Head to the Controls tab.

Navigate to the Weapons tab within Controls and look for Breath Holding.

Once you find it, assign the ADS key to it. It will warn you that you are assigning a duplicate key. Confirm it.

Now, as soon as you aim, it will automatically hold breath and stabilize the recoil.
