Easy Riders is the second main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance.
During the quest, right after you set your camp near the lake and talk to Hans, you are tasked to silence your dog, barking at one of the NPCs named Oats.
Once you silence Mutt, you get an optional objective to find something to eat for Mutt.
The problem is that the area is full of apples, bread, and wine.
But nothing that you can feed to Mutt.
Moreover, even though the objective is optional, most players try to complete it instead of progressing toward the main objective.
So, for players stuck in the quest, here’s my detailed guide on obtaining food for Mutt during the Easy Riders quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
How to get food for Mutt in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
During the Easy Riders main quest, you can get food for Mutt by talking to Oats near the campfire.
Go near him and press the interact button to start a conversation.
Once you do, you will get to choose between three dialogue options:
- We’ll get food at Trosky.
- I’ll bring you something from the nobles’ feast.
- You wouldn’t want Mutt to bite you…
- What would you swap that sausage for?
I would highly recommend selecting the second dialogue option.
It is the easiest way to get the Sausage from Oats while improving your Reputation.
If you choose the first dialogue, you lose Reputation with Oats and don’t get the Sausage.
If you go with the third dialogue, you get the Sausage but lose Reputation.
For the fourth dialogue, you head to defeat Tankard, the NPC sitting left of the campsite in a Die game.
Most guides suggest going with the fourth option.
But I don’t, as the die game can be infuriating at the beginning.
And to be honest, it’s too much for an optional objective.
Once you get the Sausage from Oats, go near Mutt.
Press the ALT button on your keyboard to expand the action menu.
Now, press the ‘1’ key to open the Feed menu.
Once done, double-click on the Sausage.
Doing so will drop it on the ground, and Mutt will start eating it.
It will also complete the objective.
