Don’t know where to find Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds? Don’t worry! I’ve got you covered with my guide.

Sharp Fang is one of the monster materials in the game that you need for crafting early-game armor like the Chatacabra set.

And while the materials for crafting the gear are listed, there are no details on how to get Sharp Fang.

Moreover, since players mostly require the Sharp Fang for crafting one of the armor pieces of the Chatacabra set, I know many of you might have kept hunting down the Chatacabra for the Sharp Fang.

Well! I did that too!

But you don’t get it from the Chatacabra.

That said, to help the Monster Hunter Wilds community and new players hopping in the game, I prepared this detailed guide on how to get and use Sharp Fang in the game and the best farming spots for it.

How to get Sharp Fang

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can Sharp Fangs as a drop loot from small monsters like Gajios and Talioth.

You can also check this in the Small Monster Field Guide.

However, monsters and their drop loot details will not be available in it until you hunt one.

But once you have hunted down these monsters at least once, you can find more details on them in the Field Guide.

How to use Sharp Fang

You can use the Sharp Fang to craft the Chatacabra Coil, one of the pieces of the Chatacabra armor set.

In general, you will be mostly using the collected Sharp Fang for crafting gear.

Sharp Fang locations and best farming spots

You can find Gajios and Talioths in the Windward Plains region.

They spawn at multiple locations on the map.

However, I have shared my favorite spots that I use to farm them for materials like Sharp Fang.

Gajios location

One of the best farming spots and Gajios spawn locations in Monster Hunter Wilds is the river between Areas 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Head to the marked location and you will find a ton of Gajios swimming in the water body.

Note

Gajios always spawn in and around water bodies. You can also find them in the Scarlet Forest region.

Hunt the Gajios and skin their Carcass to obtain Sharp Fang.

Since Gajios have a 100% Sharp Fang drop rate, they are also one of the best small monsters to hunt for farming Sharp Fangs.

Move around the water body and you will find more Gajios at the marked locations.

Please don’t skip me 🥺

You can also check your Detailed Map in-game for the exact location as the monsters keep moving within the spawn area.

Once you take out the Gajios, make sure to skin them for Sharp Fang.

For other items like Bleeding Pod, etc, you must use your hook on the Gajios to collect them.

Talioth location

The best location for Talioth is the area I have marked in the above screenshot.

You can find it in the Bone Desert Area 16 in Windward Plains.

It is a great spot with consistent Talioth spawn and the best part is that you can put a Pop-up Camp nearby.

Hunt down the Talioths and skin their Carcass to obtain Sharp Fang.

Unlike Gajios, Talioths don’t have a 100% Sharp Fang drop rate.

That is everything you need to know about how to get and use Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds. If the article helped, please consider buying me a Coffee to help me make more content. You can also share the guide with your friends or leave a comment.
