The Sun Clan Relic is one of the two unique quest items, the other being the Kabala Clan Relic players need for the Ancient Vows quest.
Completing the quest rewards players with choosing a permanent buff for their character.
But, the real issue arises in finding these relics as they don’t have a set spawn area, there are little to no details on how to obtain them, and you need either one to trigger the Ancient Vows quest.

How to get the Sun Clan Relic in PoE 2
In Path of Exile 2, you can get the Sun Clan Relic by defeating the monsters in The Bone Pits region.
The Relic is a random drop; thus, you must keep farming the mobs in the area until you obtain it.
So once you are in Act II and have access to The Bone Pits, farm the mobs for the Sun Clan Relic, and you will be able to trigger the Ancient Vows quest.
How to get the Kabala Clan Relic in PoE 2
Similar to the Sun Clan Relic, you must defeat the mobs, the Serpentines, in the Keth region, to get the Kabala Clan Relic.
Once again, the Kabala Clan Relic is a random drop and depends on RNG.
Where to use the Sun Clan and Kabala Clan Relics in PoE 2
You can use the Sun Clan Relic and the Kabala Clan Relic at the altar next to the Waypoint in the Valley of Titans.
If you head there, you will find the altar, which looks like a giant humanoid statue holding a bowl-like structure.
On PC, you can press the ALT key and place the two Relics on the altar.
Doing so will progress the quest, and you will be able to choose between two permanent buffs.
These are:
- 30% Increased Charm Charges Gained
- 15% Mana Recovery from Flasks
Based on your build and class requirement, go with any buff that you find more useful.
