Since it’s already September, waiting a few days or weeks at max is all you have to do. Then, you will have native Ultrawide support, allowing you to play Space Marine 2 on Ultrawide resolution and aspect ratio.

Yes! There are a few user-created patches that you can apply in the “steamapps\common\Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\bin\pc” path to make Space Marine 2 run forcibly in Ultrawide monitors.
However, there are two significant issues. The first is that when I downloaded the patch, my antivirus flagged it as a virus, so I didn’t open the file. The second issue is that players who did use the patch reported that it does nothing but zoom in on the game, and the FOV is all messed up.
So, ultimately, I would rather say that there’s no safe way to fix the Space Marine 2 Ultrawide not working issue rather than suggesting a method that can mess up your system.
