That said, finding the hunter mural to solve the associated Roman numeral puzzle is challenging as many players run past it.
On the other hand, some don’t know how to trigger the puzzle or solve it.
So, if you have already obtained the Monocle and Staff key items and are now looking for the third and final piece of the Staff of Ice, keep reading my guide.

Where to find the second Roman numeral mural puzzle in The Tomb
You can find the second Roman numeral puzzle in the southwest part of the map.
Head to the above-marked location.
Once you reach there, look left of the crafting workbench.
You will find a hunter’s mural on the wall.
The mural you see in the above screenshot is the second Roman numeral puzzle or first, assuming you didn’t do the bull mural Roman numeral puzzle.

How to reach the second Roman numeral puzzle location
You can take two paths to reach the hunter mural Roman numeral puzzle from the spawn.
The first and easiest one is to unlock the locked door next to the headless statue, as shown in the above screenshot.
The second one is by taking the long route.
Following the cavern path, you can find it in the northwestern part of the spawn area.
You must get past four locked doors to reach the hunter mural.
I recommend this route for players looking to progress The Tomb’s main story quest.
And for players looking for the fastest way to get all the parts required for building the Staff of Ice Wonder Weapon.
Why?
Because, in the second route, you will find the bull mural Roman numeral puzzle.
Moreover, you will also be able to unlock and enter the Dark Aether Nexus, the area where you find the Pack-A-Punch Machine, and also the altar where you can build the Staff of Ice.
That said, here are the four doors that you must get past to reach the hunter mural:
Locked door 1
Locked door 2
Locked door 3
Once you are past the third locked door, you can interact with the blue artifact on the pedestal.
Doing so will unlock the Dark Aether Nexus.
From there, take the stairs at the other end of the room to reach the fourth locked door.
Locked door 4
Once you unlock the fourth locked door, you will be able to reach the hunter mural.
Just follow the marked path in the above map screenshot and you will reach it.
How to trigger the hunter Roman numeral puzzle
Like the bull mural Roman numeral puzzle, you must shoot down the nearby blue flame lamps to trigger the hunter mural Roman numeral puzzle.
You must keep shooting them until the one in the hunter mural room lights up.
You can find the first lamp near the Amalgum statue.
There are many more lamps in the above enclosed area.
Shoot them down.
In my playthrough, I had to shoot down three lamps before the lamp in the hunter mural room lighted up.
So try shooting at least three of them.
If you shoot the lamp in the hunter mural room, wait for a few seconds and they will reset.
You don’t have to progress the round.
If you follow the steps correctly, the lamp in the hunter mural room will light up as you can see in the above screenshot.
How to solve the hunter Roman numeral puzzle
Like before, you can solve the hunter mural Roman numeral puzzle by shooting down the numerals in the correct order.
- I – 1
- II – 2
- III – 3
- IV – 4
- V – 5
- VI – 6
- VII – 7
- VIII – 8
- IX – 9
- X – 10
Unlike the bull mural Roman numeral puzzle, this one has 10 numbers.
Once you shoot them in the correct order, a blue orb will summon.
Follow it and defeat all the enemies it spawns.
There are around four waves of enemies that you must survive to solve the puzzle.
How to get the Staff Head Piece key item
In Black Ops 6 Zombies The Tomb map, you can get the Staff of Ice Head Piece by solving the hunter mural Roman numeral puzzle.
Once you solve it, the Head Piece will spawn near the mural along with a Max Ammo pick-up.
Go near it and press the interact button to collect it.
