If you are stuck on the wrong server by default in Wuthering Waves on the PS5 and want to change it to benefit from crossplay and cross-progression and use your existing character, I’m here to help you out.
Let me guess! You were happy that Wuthering Waves is finally available on the PS5.
You installed the game!
Only to know that you were put in the wrong server, and now, you are unable to access your existing profile.
Even if the above case doesn’t apply to you, you must still know how to change servers in Wuthering Waves.
Sadly, unlike the mobile and PC versions, the PS5 does not allow you to switch between the game servers freely.
In fact, if you open the server menu, you will only see the default assigned server! Nothing else.
So keep reading as I explain how servers are assigned in Wuthering Waves on PS5 and how you can change it.
How default server allotment works in WuWa

The default servers in Wuthering Waves on PS5 are allotted based on the region of your PSN account.
Here is a look at the official table describing the server allocation:
| Wuthering Waves Game Sever | Asia Server | America Server | Europe Server | SEA Server | HMT Server |
| Region | East Asia | Hongkong, Maca,u and Taiwan | Europe, Africa and Middle East | South Asia, South East Asia and Oceania | Hongkong, Macau, and Taiwan |
| Corresponding Countries/Regions | Japan, Korea | Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the United States, Uruguay | Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Great Britain | Australia, New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand | Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan |

So, for example, if your PSN account region is Indonesia, you will automatically be added to the SEA server.
This is where the real issue arises, as many players, especially Asians, often choose the Asia server, even though they are actually from SEA.
Whereas some players play on America server even though they are not actually from America.
The automatic server allocation is a big issue as many players play on servers that don’t match with their region.
How to change servers in WuWa on PS5

On PS5, you can change servers in Wuthering Waves by changing the region of your PSN account.
However, since you cannot do it once an account is created,
The only option that remains is to create a secondary PSN account with the region corresponding to the server you want to join in Wuthering Waves.

For example, if a player was allocated a SEA server based on their PSN account, but their character is on the Asia server.
They must create a new PSN account with the region as Japan, Korea, or East Asia.
That said, players who have already linked their PSN to their existing Kuro Games account on the PS5 for Wuthering Waves must first unlink their accounts.
How to do that?

Well! You have to raise a ticket with the Wuthering Waves customer support.
Once your account is unlinked, you can follow the mentioned procedure.
That is, changing the region of your PSN and then linking your Kuro Games account.

i dont think you can change the region in ps settings, only address in the same region… so yeah, only way is to wait till kuro games unlink the acc
Yes! You are right. I have re-written that part to ensure there is no confusion.
does the same server regional list apply to all games or is it only wuwa, cause i am gonna download neveerness to everness but i am not sure of what server i am gonna get.
A year-late reply, but this is seriously such useful info, thanks a lot!
I have the game on my mobile and haven’t yet tried playing it on my PS5. I came across a video talking about how our PSN account had to share the same regional server as our mobile’s to play with the same account. I was upset because I wanted to be able to use my existing PSN account. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the list you posted above showed that the server I chose on my mobile has my PSN country listed under it.
What’s funny is, I actually did end up making a whole new PSN account with a server that matched the one on my mobile, lol. But even then, I’d rather use my ‘real’ account. That new one could maybe come in handy for something else in the future, but I’m glad I don’t have to use it now.
Glad it helped. Also, really appreciate your comment.

So far, I have only seen it in Wuthering Waves. For other games, you can simply select your server.
Wait so they won’t strictly assign us a server? Cause even Hoyoverse games don’t allow us to select our own servers, r u sure I can select, cause my psn account is Indian but I want SEA server
I cannot confirm you this because the Press Build that we received for NTE was for PC and not PlayStation. But one thing I can assure you is that, even if the server is auto-assigned, for India, it will be SEA only. If there’s any new update on it, I will report on it.
Thanks a lot, I just really hope I get SEA tho, cause originally India is a part of Asia and idk how it comes under SEA
Hi there,
You should have gotten the SEA server. Also, as I said earlier, you do get the ability to freely choose between servers.
Hiii yess I could choose the server on my own, thanks a lot for letting me know
