Whether you are looking to get your hands on the Aether Barrel or want to know where to use it on the Ashes of the Damned map in Black Ops 7 Zombies, I’ve got you covered with this guide.

The Aether Barrel is one of the key items that you need to get the Necrofluid Gauntlet and to eventually progress the Ashes of the Damned main quest easter egg.

While you can see it behind a glass cabinet inside the underground lab found at Zarya Cosmodrome, to collect it, you must complete some steps.

That said, while some players do manage to obtain it, they don’t know what to do with it. And so on.

Since it is a new map, there are a lot of players who hardly know the correct order and use of the key items and such things.

This is where my guide comes in handy, as not only do I share the location of the Aether Barrel, but I also explain how you can get and charge it and where to use it.

How to get the Aether Barrel in the Ashes of the Damned map in Black Ops 7 Zombies

You can find the Aether Barrel in the Support Systems room at the Zarya Cosmodrome POI.

But before you head there, there are two things you must do:

  1. Power up all the Power Pumps and spawn the Uber Klaus to get the Stablizer Chip
  2. Free Klaus from the Ashwood Sheriff’s Office

The steps can take time, and if you are confused about how to do them, check out the above-linked guides.

Assuming you have freed Klaus, head to the Zarya Cosmodrome and make your way towards the Support System underground room.

Press the ‘Q’ key or the respective controller key to place Klaus in front of the console found near the Aether Barrel.

If you don’t know where it is, just head to the player icon location as shown in the above map screenshot.

Once Klaus does his thing, interact with the panel and quickly stand in front of the glass cabinet left of it.

The scanner on top will glow red and will start the scan process. Stand in it and let the process complete. Don’t move.

If done correctly, the glass cabinet will open up. Grab the Aether Barrel.

How to charge the Aether Barrel in Ashes of the Damned in Black Ops 7 Zombies

You can charge the Aether Barrel at the Power Pumps found at Ashwood, Vandorn Farm and Black Water Lake.

First, head to Ashwood and make your way towards the Power Pump.

Note: Once you collect the Aether Barrel, you won’t be able to run.

Interact with it to place the Aether Barrel in it.

It will take a few seconds to charge. Once done, collect it.

Slide off the bridge to reach the ground floor. Take Tessie and head to Black Water Lake.

You must be quick as there’s a timer.

Place the Aether Barrel inside the Power Pump.

Once it’s done charging, head back to Tessie and make your way to Vandorn Farm.

Make sure to reach before the timer ends.

Head to the Power Pump.

Once again, place and let the Aether Barrel charge up.

Three charges done! Now, you can use it.

Where to use the Aether Barrel in the Ashes of the Damned map in Black Ops 7 Zombies

You can use the Aether Barrel to power up the cube found in the basement at Vandorn Farm. Head there. You can also reach it via the Barn.

Make your way to the basement.

Go close to the cube.

Interact with it. A blue glowing aura will surround the cube and power it up.

The next step involves solving a symbol puzzle to get the Necrofluild Gauntlet Wonder Weapon, which I have covered in a separate guide.

That concludes my guide on how to get, charge and use the Aether Barrel in Black Ops 7 Zombies Ashes of the Damned. If the article helped, please consider buying me a Coffee to help me create more content. You can also share the guide with your friends or leave a comment.
