Don’t know where to find Firestones in Monster Hunter Wilds? If so, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered with my guide.
Firestone is one of the rare ores in the game that you need for mainly upgrading certain fire-type weapons to Tier 2.
For example, if you are a Dagger user, you will find the second upgrade for the Quematrice Silexes, which I like to call the fire daggers, requires a Firestone along with two other materials.
And while Monster Hunter Wilds is more welcoming to new players than any other game in the franchise, the game doesn’t tell you how to get these Firestones.
As a result, many players who are looking to upgrade their gears or craft something new that require Firestones get stuck.
If you are one such player, my guide will help as it explains how you can get Firestones, all spawn locations, uses and the best farming spot for it.
How to get Firestones
In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can get Firestone by mining the Mining Outcrops in the Oilwell Basin region.
The drop depends on RNG, and the Firestone is quite a rare drop.
But during my playthrough, there was this Mining Outcrop found in the lower levels of the Oilwell Basin where I found one Firestone every time I mined it.
The Mining Outcrop that I am talking about is located in Area 13 in the room outside of the Black Flame boss arena.
I have highlighted its exact location in the above map screenshot.
Head there and mine the Mining Outcrop.
As you can see in the above screenshot, I got a Firestone.
Wait for 15 minutes for the Mining Outcrop to reset and mine again.
As you can see, I got the Firestone again.
Now, I might be lucky here and have a good RNG. Still, the above location is worth checking out.

You can use Firestones for crafting and upgrading your gear.
One of the best examples would be the fire daggers called Quematrice Silexes.
All Mining Outcrops locations in Oilwell Basin region
Here are all the Mining Outcrops locations in the Oilwell Basin region that you can use to farm Firestones:
Upper level
There are around five Mining Outcrops that you can find on the upper level on which the Azuz, the Everforge, is located.
I have marked their locations in the above map screenshot.
Middle level
You can find around two Mining Outcrops on the second level.
Lower level
You can find three more on the lower level.
