If you want the overpowered, fully automatic nuclear-powered rifle introduced with the Milepost Zero update, my guide on getting V63 Laser Carbine Plans fast in Fallout 76 will be useful.

For players who don’t know, the V63 Carbine is the newest addition to Fallout 76’s weapon roster that players can get in many ways, with the best one being unlocking and learning its Plan to ensure you can craft or trade it.

With that said, here’s my guide on how to get V63 Laser Carbine Plans fast in Fallout 76.

How to get the V63 Laser Carbine Plans in Fallout 76

In Fallout 76, you can get the V63 Laser Carbine Plans by completing the side quest from Theodore, the Ammo Merchant, called ‘Unconventional Weaponry.’

Update: Here’s my V63 Laser Carbine best build guide. You can check it out if you want to main the weapon.

During the quest, you obtain the Plans for the V63 Laser Carbine from the Vault 63 Organic Sector and craft it on the nearby Weapon’s Workbench to progress the quest and eventually complete it.

If you haven’t done the quest, check out my complete Unconventional Weaponry side quest walkthrough guide.

After completing the quest, you can purchase the V63 Laser Carbine Mod Plans from Theodore at the Milepost Zero in exchange for Caps.

How can you get the V63 Laser Carbine Plans fast?

To get the V63 Laser Carbine Plans fast, you must unlock Theodore the Ammo Merchant as soon as you complete the Milepost Zero introductory quest, A Bump in the Road.

After that, you must exhaust all his dialogue options and do the Caravan: Skyline Drive events until you have 250 Supplies for the Tier 2 upgrade. Once you do, talk to Marley and upgrade Theodore.

Now, talk to Theodore and exhaust his first line of dialogue to unlock the ‘Unconventional Weaponry’ quest.

This is how you get the V63 Laser Carbine Plans fast.

How to get V63 Laser Carbine without doing the quest in Fallout 76

If you want to get the V63 Laser Carbine without completing the quest for some reason, you can still get and use the weapon by purchasing it from players’ Vending Machines, granted they have it on sale.

Or ask a player with the Plans to craft the V63 Laser Carbine weapon for you. If you don’t have any friends who have unlocked the Plans or play the game with you, I recommend checking the Fallout 76 Reddit, as there you can find many who can help.

Also, if you need it immediately, just drop a comment with your IGN, and I will add and craft the weapon for you with the best mods for free.

What should you do if I don’t get the V63 Laser Carbine Plans upon completing the Unconventional Weaponry quest?

Many players have reported that having the V63 Laser Carbine in their inventory while doing the quest Unconventional Weaponry auto-completes the quest, and players are getting locked out of getting the weapon’s Plans.

If you are also one of the affected players, wait for some time. Bethesda has addressed the issue and is looking into it.

For now, as I have been saying, make sure you don’t have the V63 Laser Carbine when you are taking the Unconventional Weaponry quest from Theodore.
