Gearbox shadow dropped the Circle of Slaughter mode in Borderlands 4 with the version 1.8 major update, which also added the game’s first Takedown and much more.
The Circle of Slaughter is an end-game content, which you can also access relatively early, to take on waves of enemies who become stronger and deadlier with each wave and round, to get some lucrative rewards.
That said, while accessing the Circle of Slaughter is easy for new or returning players, it can be confusing. Here’s a handy guide.
Circle of Slaughter pre-requisite

In Borderlands 4, to unlock the Circle of Slaughter, you must complete the “Wrath of the Ripper Queen” main story mission.
How to access Circle of Slaughter

To access the Circle of Slaughter, you must interact with Zane’s arcade cabinet found at Moxxi’s Bottoms Up!.
First, teleport there.

Now, head to the right side of the bar, as marked in the screenshot above.

You will find one of Zane’s arcade cabinets. Interact with it.

For the first run, you must complete the tutorial quest “Silent Crisis: Time Scope 5.”

After you take the quest, use the jumpad to head into the arena.

After that, interact with the button to start the round.

Once you complete the first round, taking out three waves of enemies, you will be given two options:
- Continue
- Leave
To continue for a better reward, press the same ‘Start Round’ button you used before.

If you are done, use the jump pad to head to the Loot Room.

Interact with the button that says, “Cash Out.” Doing so will spawn the earned loot.

After that, turn around and exit the room. Use the rift to reach the starting area.

From there, you can interact with Zane’s arcade cabinet that says, ‘End Game.’
