Mods are one of the biggest reasons that people love PC gaming.

And—even the developers know that, including Warhorse Studios.

Kingdom Come Deliverance has a wide range of mods, including QoL to performance and features, and some that revamp the entire game.

Thankfully, the second installment, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which we often call KCD 2, is no exception.

In fact, we had a few mods for the game even before its official release.

That aside, while most players are already aware of how to download and install mods in the game, many new players jumping into the game for the first time are not.

That is why I prepared this guide. So keep reading!

How to download mods in KCD 2

You can download Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 mods via third-party websites like Nexus Mods.

There are also database and mods websites dedicated to the game that you can use for mods.

But, if you ask me, I would recommend Nexus Mods as it is a trustworthy source, and you also get a lot of options.

How to install KCD 2 mods

Installing mods in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an easy but manual process.

All you have to do is extract the downloaded mods and paste its content inside the Mods folder that you can create in the local files folder.

First, go to Steam and right-click on Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Navigate to ‘Manage’ and select the option, ‘Browse local files.’

The local files folder path should look like this:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\.

If you have installed the game in a different drive, the path should look like this: Drive: Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\.

Once you are inside the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 folder, you won’t find the Mods folder.

So, right click, select new and create a folder and name it ‘Mods.’

Once done, open the Mods folder and paste the mod files in it.

That is it. Now you can load the game and start using the mods.
