For players who don’t know, Destiny Rising is a brand new sci-fi looter shooter and the first mobile game in the widely popular Destiny franchise.
While the game is not a direct sequel to Destiny 2, it features returning characters, with, of course, a full cast of new characters with a rich story and background set in an alternative Destiny timeline.
Gameplay-wise, Destiny Rising features new and returning game modes, TPP (Third Person Perspective), and FPP (First Person Perspective), a massive roster of playable characters, a gacha system, and much more.
And I know, as a long-time Destiny player myself, as much as we all wanted Bungie to announce the next Destiny game, from the looks of it, Destiny Rising is the only “NEXT” thing that we are getting, other than the upcoming expansions planned for the main game.
That said, while most mobile games get a dedicated PC launcher or native PC release, Destiny Rising will not have any of that.
It is exclusive to Android and iOS platforms.
So the question is, how can you play Destiny Rising on PC? There has to be a method, right? Well! Yeah. There is one.
How to play Destiny Rising on PC
You can play Destiny Rising on PC via any Android emulator, of which I recommend the official Google Play Games beta.
It allows you to play any mobile game on the Android platform on PC without any compromise in quality, performance, or such.
Plus, it’s official. No shady software.
First of all, head to the Google Play Games Download page and download the installer file.
Install it on your PC.
After the installation is complete, open the app.
On the left side of the app, you will find the login option and the search option.
After you log in, click on the search icon and search for “Destiny Rising.”
Note
Destiny Rising is region-locked and so make sure to use an alternate account belonging to the region where the game is available.
Alternatively, you can also use a direct APK file to install the game.
Install the game and open it. Let it download the additional files.
And that’s it. Play the game using keyboard and mouse or plug in a controller, as it supports both.
