Whether you are looking to unlock the Famed Detective’s Outfit set or the Survivor record, you must know how to get and solve the Frosted Cipher Machine in Lies of P Overture DLC.
In Overture DLC, there are three different Cipher Machines that players can find and decrypt to uncover secrets leading to some key incidents.
As you progress through the DLC, the first Cipher Machine you get is the Bloody Cipher Machine.
Followed by the Corroded Cipher Machine.
The Frosted Cipher Machine is the last one that you need to solve to unlock the Tracker of Dark Secrets achievement.
It also unlocks a new record called Survivor and an outfit set called Famed Detective’s Outfit.
That being said, while finding the Frosted Cipher Machine is easy, solving it is somewhat challenging, especially for a few players.

Where to find the Frosted Cipher Machine in Lies of P Overture DLC
You can find the Frosted Cipher Machine inside a safe found right before the Shipwreck Exterior Stargazer.
The safe is located in the main path leading to the next area and is hard to miss as it is right before a Stargazer.

Lies of P Overture DLC Frosted Cipher Machine walkthrough
To solve the Frosted Cipher Machine and uncover the secrets it holds, head to the Eventide Hotel Krat and talk to Alidoro.
You can find him near the reception area.
Talk to him and select the dialogue option, “Decrypt a cipher machine.”
After that, select the Frosted Cipher Machine.
Exhaust his dialogues to get the Decoded Frosted Cipher Machine Text.
Read the text and you learn about the Krat Lighthouse Keeper.
It also hints at the location where you must go next, the Krat Lighthouse.
Teleport to the Krat Lighthouse.
Follow the path on the left side from the spawn to head in the basement area.
There you will find a slightly elevated platform that you can interact with.
Go near and interact with it to get the next clue, which is the “floor panel seems sensitive to weight.”
You need something heavy to keep on it to open the hidden locked door.
But since you are not Kratos who can simply drag objects and place them on such mechanisms, you must find a different way to activate it.
Teleport to the Archon Fleet Shipwrecks Stargazer and talk to the merchant found on the left side.
Select the Purchase option.
Buy the Giant’s Amulet for 120 Ergo.
Head back to the Lighthouse.
Stand on the elevated floor and equip the Giant’s Amulet.
Doing so will activate the floor mechanism and will open the secret door in front of you.
Head inside and collect the item next to the dead Lighthouse Keeper.
You will find the Lighthouse Keeper’s Journal.
Read it to progress the quest.
Once you do that, you will get the usual message saying, “A dark secret of Krat discovered. Can be reported to the Tracker.”
Head back to the Eventide Hotel Krat and talk to Alidoro.
Select the option, “Report on Krat’s dark secrets.”
After that, choose the option, “About the secret of the lighthouse.”
Exhaust Alidoro’s dialogues to get the Famed Detective’s Coat and the Hat.
After that, you will be presented with a choice to make that will affect your Humanity progress.
Choose the option, “They will be, and Krat will be saved.”
Doing so will progress your Humanity level.
Once you do that, you will unlock the trophy, “Tracker of Dark Secrets.”
And, you will also get the Survivor music record that you can play within Hotel Krat.
