Whether you are looking for the location of the Shrine of Armadyl in RuneScape Dragonwilds or want to solve the puzzle and find the culprit, this guide has you covered.
For players who don’t know, the Shrine of Armadyl is one of the four Shrines in the Emberwood sub-region of the Fellhollow region that you must activate to remove the barrier surrounding the Emberwood Village.
So it is not an optional puzzle but a mandatory one.
In this puzzle, you must solve a sort of murder mystery and identify the right ghost among three who committed the crime based on their dialogue
While some players can complete it easily, many find it hard, so I prepared this detailed guide to help you solve the Shrine of Armadyl puzzle.

You can find the Shrine of Armadyl at the player icon location shown in the above map screenshot in the Emberwood region.
Head there and you will find three ghosts. If they aren’t there and it’s daytime, return at night.

When you interact with the Shrine of Armadyl, you will get hints on what you actually must note down and find to solve the puzzle, which is choosing the right options.
You will learn that, long ago, someone committed a terrible act, and you must find the one responsible to receive Armadyl’s blessing.
In the last dialogue, you will get a hint to speak with the ghosts, uncover the event that happened and find the culprit.
Speaking with the Ghosts
There are three ghosts at the Shrine of Armadyl. Shady, Snickering and Suspicious. You can talk to all three to learn more about the event from their perspective.
Pay attention to what each says and how they behave. It will help you solve the puzzle. To make things easier, I have shared the dialogues from all three ghosts below.

The first question you get is:
What crime was committed?
Answer: 3. There was a mass murder.
The second question is:
Why was such as act committed?
Answer: 2. Because they thought it was funny.
The third question is:
Who committed the crime?
Answer: 3. The Snickering Ghost.
The last question is:
What makes you suspect them?
Answer: 3. They found it too funny. Matching the motive.
And that is it. The shrine will activate.
