Stalker 2 will officially release on the Xbox and PC platforms on November 20, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. PT.
Stalker 2’s release has been delayed many times.
However, on November 9, 2024, the developers GSC Game World confirmed that the game had gone gold.
Update: Stalker 2 release time for different regions was shared on November 18, 2024.
While the devs did not officially share the release time for Stalker 2, as per the Microsoft Store, it will unlock at 8:00 a.m. PT.

Stalker 2 preload console and PC
At the time of writing, Stalker 2 preload is available on the console but not on the PC.
Sadly, whether you are looking to play the game on PC via Gamepass or Steam, you cannot preload the game.
The preload button does appear on Gamepass, but when you download it, it simply downloads the launcher, not the entire game.
As for Steam, it has been confirmed that there will be no preload.
Stalker 2 download size
Stalker 2 game files will take around 150 to 160 GB in space on both PC and console.
A few players are pointing out the game’s download size as one of the major criticisms, speculating that it is unoptimized.
It is still too early to say, though, as 160 GB is a very common download size for massive games like Stalker 2.
